Leaving so soon, Hamad? You tagged me, demanded answers, got six of them, and now you are thanking me for my time.
You say my answers show whom I represent. Easy: the Middle East Forum, which takes no money from any government. You represent a terror supporting tyrannical government. That is the difference between us.
On your poster: being a U.S. ally and financing Hamas are not mutually exclusive. Pakistan was a major non-NATO ally while Osama bin Laden lived in Abbottabad.
Your poster leads with President Trump. In June 2017 he said, "The nation of Qatar, unfortunately, has historically been a funder of terrorism at a very high level." It quotes President Obama. His Treasury said Qatar "has for many years openly financed Hamas." It quotes Biden officials. In November 2024 the Biden administration told you Hamas's presence in Doha was "no longer acceptable."
You posted the compliments. Washington also wrote the audit of your underwriting political violence and mayhem.
As for #6, I answered it. Repeating it will not turn it into an answer about the $2 billion.
So, one last time, the question you never touched: how much did Doha send, to whom, and who counted it?
Thank you for your time.
Replying to @greggroman
You need to answer all six questions candidly especially 6
The answers you’ve given so far aren’t good, sir. But at least they’ve shown exactly who you are and whom you represent—that’s all I was looking for. Thank you for your time.
As for the Treasury quote, allow me to share this with you, my good sir.

In 2008, Trita Parsi sued an Iranian activist for defamation after the activist accused him and his new group, NIAC (nonprofit), of lobbying for the Iranian regime; something that would violate U.S. law.
A federal court in D.C. later ruled that Parsi’s work was “not inconsistent with the idea that he was first and foremost an advocate for the regime.”
It got worse. During the case NIAC itself filed, they stonewalled discovery. They ignored multiple court orders, hid calendar records, failed to disclose computers, misrepresented their systems, withheld thousands of emails, delayed membership lists, and altered a key document.
The court sanctioned them and fined them $183,000 for the abuses, including destroying evidence. All of this is in public court records.
This year, IRGC-run State TV openly called NIAC and Trita Parsi the regime’s “lobby arms” in America.

Your imaginary friend?

Yesterday, I asked Mr @GreggRoman 6 questions. He says he answered them. I made the table below to assess whether he actually did.
Score: 1 answered, 1 partly answered, 4 dodged.
Observations from his answers 👇
1. He never acknowledges a single Palestinian civilian death. My question was about the children, women, elderly and journalists killed in Gaza. His answer only discusses 7 October. And of course, he knows there was an offer days after 7 October (negotiated by mediators) to release all civilians held in Gaza : xitter.cf/jdiamond1/status/21082…
2. He attacks the messenger, not the facts. Calling Al Jazeera a "propaganda channel" does not change what the US government itself concluded: Israeli gunfire was responsible for killing Shireen Abu Akleh, an American journalist.
3. His concession on question 3 matters. He agrees Israel asked Qatar to send the money to Gaza. Documents published by TIME on 18 Oct go further: Israeli officials pushed for the payments to continue until two weeks before 7 October. Qatar has always been proud to support Palestinian civilians - if any money went to Hamas, this is the responsibility of the Israeli government, which oversaw the mechanism.
4. On Qatar hosting Hamas, he leaves out that the Hamas office in Doha opened in coordination with Washington, and that Qatar mediated the hostage releases, including the November 2023 deal and the 2025 ceasefire.
5. He wrote that Shireen was "killed in Jenin, not Israel." So he admits Jenin is not Israel, which matches the UN position that the West Bank is occupied territory.
6. Israel Hayom is not an independent source (which he cited). Roman writes for it himself: the paper lists him as the author of at least 8 opinion pieces.
7. Gregg himself worked for the IDF (Israeli ministry of 'defense'), so he certainly cannot and is not one to speak about America first: meforum.org/gregg-roman. He told me MEF is based in Philadelphia, not DC. True, but MEF's own "Washington Project" lobbies Congress, it held a DC conference titled "Qatar: U.S. Ally or Global Menace?", and in 2023 it said it was working with Congress to designate Qatar a state sponsor of terrorism. The address is Philadelphia; the campaign against Qatar is on Capitol Hill in DC and his x account says he is based in Israel
Arab leaders who fight Islamists at home have warned Europe for years. Europe keeps treating it as an opinion. Brussels in 2022, Berlin in 2023, Amsterdam in 2024 and now Paris in 2026 should have listened to @AlsisiOfficial in 2019.
Mr. AlMuftah, I answered your question with U.S. Treasury citations. You answered with six questions, none of them about the $2 billion.
Noted. In order:
1. Gaza. This war began on October 7, when Hamas murdered some 1,200 people, 44 of them Americans, and dragged 253 hostages into Gaza. That day Hamas's leaders were filmed watching it on Al Jazeera and bowing in thanks, in Doha. Hamas could have ended the war any day by freeing the hostages. Your government housed the men who refused.
2. The attack on Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine was a crime, and Israeli police are investigating it. Israeli and American papers are reporting it freely. In Doha, a BBC crew was arrested in 2015 for filming migrant workers, and a poet was sentenced to life, for a poem. Spare me the press freedom lecture.
3. Yes, Israel asked Qatar to send cash. I called it a mistake in 2018 and I call it one today. An Israeli mistake does not launder Qatari money.
4. If you mean Shireen Abu Akleh, she was killed in Jenin, not Israel, while working for your government's propaganda channel. Hersh Goldberg-Polin, an American, was executed in a Hamas tunnel in 2024 while Hamas's negotiators were your guests.
5. America First? In 2024 the Justice Department charged Hamas's leaders with murdering Americans. Two of them lived in Doha. In 2025 Qatar was the largest foreign source of money to American universities, more than $1.1 billion. MEF takes no money from any government, yours included. Which of us should answer the America First question?
6. When a diplomat runs out of answers, he goes looking for gossip.
You said if I answered candidly, we could talk. Done. Your turn: how much did @TamimBinHamad send, to whom, and who counted it?
P.S. @MEForum is in Philadelphia, not D.C. For a man so interested in my career, you are light on details.
Replying to @greggroman
I'm glad you listened, sir.
So let me ask some follow-up questions:
1What do you think of what happened in Gaza after October 7, in which many children, journalists [elderly people], and women were killed?
2What do you think of the settler violence, including the recent attack on a US Washington Post reporter?
3What do you think of the Israeli government continuing to ask Qatar to send aid for Gaza (as of today time) can you deny all of these official documents?
4What do you think of the American journalist killed in Israel?
5And mainly, do you care about America first, since you are the executive director of the MEF?
6Lastly, how do you respond to all the reports online about sexual misconduct while working at MEF?
If you answer these candidly, then we can talk, my good sir.
Mr. AlMuftah asks me to speak candidly. Gladly.
I left Israeli government service in 2012. Your suitcases of Hamas salary cash started crossing into Gaza in 2018. I wrote against them that November.
Here is what your government has underwritten since:
• Hamas’s political bureau, hosted in Doha since 2012
• Nearly $2 billion to Gaza (TIME, Oct. 18)
• A Doha-based al-Qaeda financier the U.S. Treasury sanctioned in 2013
• Up to $1 billion in 2017 ransom, reportedly to Iranian-backed militias and an al-Qaeda-linked group in Syria (Financial Times)
In 2014 the Treasury said Qatar “has for many years openly financed Hamas.”
Your embassy now tells TIME “the responsibility lies with Israel.” The arsonist is blaming the fire department for letting him in.
No instructions needed. Doha paid.

No instructions needed. Nov. 2018, 11 days after Doha's $15 million for Hamas salaries, I wrote that Qatari cash provides cover for Hamas rockets. In 2019 we put Haniyeh and his suitcases of cash on Tel Aviv billboards. Israel let you pay. You paid. meforum.org/mef-israel-start…

Your embassy tells TIME "the responsibility lies with Israel." The man who writes the checks can't blame the guard who waved them through. I opposed Qatari cash to Hamas in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
@TamimBinHamad paid Hamas. He is responsible for October 7. meforum.org/israel-victory-p…
Your overpaid lobbyists and shills forgot to spoon feed you a history lesson @hmmm1983:
@MEForum circa 2019: "The provocative campaign is the brainchild of a movement called the Israeli Victory Project, which aspires to put an end to Hamas aggression. Organizers say that the campaign was inspired by a recent visit to Iran by Hamas' military wing and receipt of hundreds of millions of [Qatari] dollars, which organizers say will go 'to Hamas' next war on Israel.'"
Shouldn't @TamimBinHamad and @MofaQatar_EN spend their money on rebuilding your natural gas infrastructure that Iran demolished instead of trolling us on @X?

When the mob says it's only about the Jews, it's never only about the Jews. Europe is finding out the hard way.
The only democracy in the Middle East is in grave danger, according to people who have never waited in an Israeli polling line.
Is he part of the "anti-Qatar" network too @hmmm1983?
The anti-Qatar network hates to see an elected official counter their disinformation campaign so directly, especially when he’s simply telling the truth.
It has never been a secret that Qatar works with consulting and government affairs firms in Washington. It’s public record. We register our relationships, disclose our activities, and operate transparently.
More importantly, the insinuation here simply isn’t reflected in Senator Murphy’s record. He has publicly criticized Qatar on several issues— but he is always professional. That’s hardly the record of a Senator whose views are being dictated by the fact that a former staffer happens to work at a firm engaged by Qatar.
Senator Murphy visited Qatar, met with Qatari officials, and spoke publicly about what he saw and about the importance of the U.S.-Qatar relationship. Disagree with his conclusions if you want. But trying to discredit them through a former-staffer connection while ignoring his actual record is misleading.
Our teams are there to defend Qatar’s reputation, correct misinformation, and promote a U.S.-Qatar partnership that advances peace, regional stability, global energy security, and prosperity.
We don’t hide behind domestic organizations or anonymous donors to obscure who is funding our advocacy. Look at the registrations. It’s all there.
We are proud of the firms and professionals who work with us — and proud of the partnership they are defending.
Follow up on @AmitSegal post; Unconfirmed: flydubai FZ1073 Dubai-Tel Aviv (A6-FKF, 737 MAX 8) made a rapid descent from 34,000 to 15,000 ft over northern Saudi Arabia at 08:21 IL, squawked 7700, held, then tracked to Tabuk. Last return 5,475 ft on approach. Data fits a technical emergency, not a hijack. Awaiting statements.
At 08:21 IL, over Al-Jawf in northern Saudi Arabia at 34,000 ft, the aircraft began a rapid descent with a sharp right turn, levelling near 15,000 ft in about 3.5 minutes. It squawked 7700 (general emergency) at 08:32 for roughly 6 minutes, then took a normal ATC code. It flew NW to within 30 km of the Jordanian border, turned back, and from 09:05 tracked directly toward Tabuk.
Last ADS-B return 09:28 IL: 5,475 ft, 205 kts, descending, about 28 km from Tabuk (OETB), squawk 7700 again. Coverage there ends at low altitude, so loss of signal is expected on approach.
Reports of a 7500 (hijack) squawk are circulating. The FR24 track record shows 0527, 0537, 7700, 4583 and 7700 only.
The profile, an emergency descent to a safe altitude, a controlled hold and a diversion to the nearest suitable airport, is consistent with a pressurization or similar technical emergency and a precautionary landing in Saudi Arabia. It is not consistent with a hijacking.
No statement yet from flydubai, GACA or Israeli authorities. Will update.
