Most resumes I read are just centered around their roles & responsibilities.
That's not really the way to do it.
Show the reader what you actually did there. What did you actually accomplish? Focus on that.

The things that your employees are afraid to tell you about you will make you a better leader if you have the courage to hear them.

Dear candidates,
You don't need to apologize for your kids/pets making noise in the background during our call,

When you feel the urge to say he/she because you aren't sure of someone's pronouns, just say they. It's not hard.

If the CEO can work with HR to discipline or terminate the COO or the CFO, it stands to reason that HR should be working directly with the CEO.
Why are we reporting into roles that we should be working alongside as peers? 🤔

Normalize not needing to become a manager to advance your career.
Not everyone wants to (or can) manage, and that's ok.

Candidate (in the initial convo): So what’s the salary range?
Recruiter: Oh it’s too early to discuss that. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
Candidate: We’re talking about the job…we’re there.

Not nearly enough is said about the effects of unsuccessful job searches on your mental health.
I don’t care how good your skills are or how strong your resume is…you can only be ignored for so long until the damage is done and the trauma is a part of you.

I don’t care if it’s Day 1 or Day 100...if your job isn’t a fit, get looking. Toxicity doesn’t have a deadline.

There is this weird and very old-school mentality that floats around in some organizations like, "Why would you need to appreciate people for just doing their jobs?"
Time out.

Instead of being angry at jobseekers mad at recruiters, try being a little more understanding at the amount of employment trauma they've gone through, esp this past year.
If a jobseeker seems angry at you, I don't know maybe let some shit slide instead of taking it personally?
