BREAKING:
Legendary coach Steve Wood has been hired as the Head Football Coach at Southwest Christian School in Fort Worth.
Wood is well known as one of the architects of the Aledo football program, which has risen to national notoriety. There for 21 years, Steve Wood contributed to 11 state championships as a defensive coordinator, athletic director, and even three titles of his own while being the head coach from 2014-2019, where he amassed a record of 75-4.
One of the best program builders in the greater Fort Worth area and in TXHSFB history now resides in TAPPS DII. The Eagles make a monumental splash of a hire that will send shockwaves throughout the state. @RealNolanRuth had it first.

5-0 and just getting started‼️Taking control in the trenches as the #6 OL in TXPS🐗🔥 @TXPrivateFBGuy @tapps247 @TXPSMedia @SCSEaglesFB
5-0‼️ Halfway through and this team just keeps proving people wrong. From being projected 3-7 ➡️ to staying undefeated, we’ve battled every week and only gotten stronger. Couldn’t be more grateful to lead this squad of brothers and we’re nowhere near done!! @SCSEaglesFB @TXPrivateFBGuy @tapps247 hudl.com/video/3/19650929/68…
Appreciate the write up! Looking forward to district play!
‘26 OL Griffin Blocker is one of the top tackle prospects in his class.
Standing at 6’4 305, Blocker is absolutely ferocious. He can easily lock down opposing edge rushers, or progress to the second level and eliminate backers.
SCS’ dominance on the ground does not happen without him and the rest of the big boys up front.

4-0‼️ We’ve battled some dogs these first 4 weeks and come out stronger every time, and we’re just getting started. Couldn’t ask for a tougher group of brothers to go to war with. Grateful to lead, and looking forward to 5-0‼️🔥@SCSEaglesFB @TXPrivateFBGuy @tapps247 hudl.com/video/3/19650929/68…
