Prediction: as more software development work moves towards workflows/factories, there will be nostalgia about "hand prompting", just like there has been for hand coding. Hand prompting was around for like 2 years.

This makes me realize that the national security concerns about AI might not be about systems getting hacked, but about existing security holes that governments rely on being discovered
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

what happens when you ask an LLM to recommend the best library for your RN project? turns out it's variable 😭 @jmeistrich talked about this problem with @lukasz_app at @nextappdevcon turns out not even the legend gets Legend List recommended all the time 🥲

Death by dying
Startups don't die from running out of cash. They die the exact moment the founders stop believing they're going to win.

I think I'm late to the party here, but I just learned you can record video of your UI and give it to codex and it will understand what you're talking about.

After building a completely working todo app with Codex last night it's pretty clear that's there's absolutely no reason to use Linear in 2026.

Imagine that someone is trying to dig in a nail into wood. Then they're introduced to this new magical tool called the hammer. They swing it wildly and thoughtlessly, missing the nail every time. Then they complain about the hammer doesn't do its job correctly. That's how I see a lot of devs talking about AI on twitter.

Reflecting some more. This is an big adaptation moment for humans. Before AI we could depend on having a reasonable expectation of what the next 18 months would be like - that our current skillset would still make us money in the future. Now everyone is about to get that rug pulled. Crazy how it came for software developers first.
