Cobolli yesterday
Now Fils retires.
I was trying to be funny in Part 3 of my ATP Road to Turin series but Jiri Lehecka might actually have a chance. 👀
I love this year’s Race to Turin 🍿🍿🍿
Wow we have got another teen to keep up with next season. Xinran Sun at 16 becomes the youngest WTA semifinalist since Coco Gauff. Wins the junior US Open and then slips into the pro league like it’s nothing.
Age ain’t nothing but a number. Jan-Lennard Struff proves you are never too old for first.
1st Grand Slam quarterfinal ✅
Win a match against Novak Djokovic ✅
36 years young.
Oh it’s Tommy Paul with a beard versus Carlos Alcaraz with a moustache tomorrow in the quarterfinals in Vienna!?!!!!!!
Wow, it’s been a while since we have had a week of tennis like this on the ATP. Leave it to the Finals race to wake everyone up.
I swear he does it on purpose.
Have an unreal first set then take us on a never ending, winding journey of emotions. I was very entertaining. Never change Carlos Alcaraz, who by the way is having an unreal run at 500s right now.
I love this sport. Good Morning
In September, Griekspoor called the USO final "rather mediocre," said he has trouble watching Zverev because "he bounces the ball 400 times," and when asked if he'd overtake Sinner: "not a hair on my head thinks so."
Thursday, Zverev can clinch #1 with a win over... Griekspoor.
Damn.
Martin Landaluce was so close to a massive win. What a match from the kid. Tough but these sorts of matches should only make him better. Hope he get the alt spot, along with Merida at Davis Cup. Spain really has a cool new crop coming in.
Had a sneaky feeling this all American match between Ben Shelton and Alek Kovacevic was going to be tricky. 👀
Completely lived up to the billing.
No upset here but damn that was a fun match. Carlos Alcaraz has a winning return to Vienna.
I do find Carlos Alcaraz extremely fun to watch because sir how did we get here 😅
Anyway let’s see how this tiebreak goes 👀
Nicely done.
Rafa Jodar keeps his name in the mix for Turin with a fairly routine win against Tabilo.
Now off to watch the popcorn match of the day 👀🍿
The drama around Davis Cup alone should get people watching (I am looking at you Team Italy). And while it features top players like Carlos Alvaraz, an episode of Jeopardy from a few months ago says many don’t know much about it, Billie Jean King Cup or other team tournaments. This week on the podcast we are here to help 🔗⬇️
Yes. Short Shorts doing Short Short things.
Does Tomas Machac have the highest ceiling and lowest floor of any other player in the @atptour Top 100?
