2018's bear mrkt was unlikely a byproduct of 1 rate hike per Quarter, ending in December.
Markets are forward EPS discounting mechanisms. In Q4 2018, forward 2019 EPS estimates were falling rapidly. That's not at all the case in 2026.

NYSE fairly oversold based on this chart of percent of stocks above 50-DMA. Current levels match up with previous 2 corrections, and bounces.

Sideways consolidation is often the best form of price consolidation before the next runup in price, given EPS for both still surging, with GMs at record highs

Sorry #Gold bugs and as an update. The former uptrend support has given way, with price now having broken the uptrend line. Usually there is more downside to anticipate after such a break, but not always.
A horizontal trend line offers additional support for price.

Some 50 minutes into the Spaces, I denoted $META was a HARD SELL and why!
I was bullish in the $540's on risk/reward. The fundamentals were made very clear in the latest ER, they are in a dire, absolutely effin' dire situation, so says the go-forward spend.
Most people cannot imagine a world without META, but they're literally informing, by way of future financial plans, they CAN imagine, and are fighting the inevitability.
