Hello!
We are quite new to Twitter and don’t have a lot of followers. We want to grow our network among others bringing wildlife and nature into urban spaces.
Please retweet and help us connect. And enjoy our beautiful orchard in a Camden school 💚🌳

Our wildlife pond is coming on nicely & will hopefully attract a lot of little visitors! We already spotted a dragonfly hovering over the surface. Our drive to turn our premises into a more bio-diverse environment continues - watch this space! @GrowingGreenUK

Remember, if you're buying something that's stopping an animal or plant from undertaking natural behaviour, you are probably on the wrong side of the world's biodiversity emergency.

By leaving deadwood in community spaces and woods, land managers & councils can provide homes for all sorts of insects, mosses, fungi & lichens, as well as vital bird & bat nesting sites. It's also easy #climateaction, as deadwood locks up carbon for years!

I really admire the exuberant re-growth of the felled London Plane Trees at Euston. It’s a perfect way for nature to say f*ck you to the gratuitous ecological destruction wrought by HS2 in the area.

So the Government have banned plastic straws and now they're doing a consultation on banning plastic wet wipes...I agree this is much needed action, but meanwhile people can cover their entire property in plastic?? Can we get some perspective here!! @Shitlawns – at South East, England

99% of 420 Queen's Canopy saplings planted in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire died after hot summer
If you are planting trees, please ensure you have a strong aftercare plan. This is especially important for saplings planted in spring.

Forests with multiple tree species are 70% more effective as carbon sinks than monoculture forests, study finds
Mixed forests are more resilient to pests, diseases, and climatic disturbances, increasing carbon storage potential.

Kumari & Andrew sponsored this Magnolia in London SE26 last winter even though they both now live in Singapore! 🌳🎁🥰 Our tree labels are important for communicating with our communities 🏷️🗣️. Can tree guardians let us know asap if any need replacing.🙏 #environment
