My name is Rashed Mohammad Abu Hashem. I am 30 years old, from Rafah, Gaza. Today, I am asking you to please take a moment to read my story. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance to survive.
On May 18, 2024, my family home in Rafah was bombed. I lost two of my brothers in that attack, and our home, memories, and everything we had built over the years were destroyed. My family lost its bookstore too, which was my elderly father’s livelihood and life’s work.
Today, my family of 10 is struggling to survive. We have spent years living in tents, facing extreme heat in the summer and freezing conditions in the winter. Our tent is worn out, and with winter approaching, we urgently need a safer place to stay.
My father is elderly. My mother and three sisters depend on our support. My eldest sister is studying nursing, and the costs of her education are difficult to manage.
My wife is also a nursing student, close to graduating, and she is pregnant with our baby boy, whom we plan to name Elias. She is struggling with malnutrition because food, vegetables, and meat have become extremely difficult to afford in Gaza.
I have no stable source of income. Every day is a struggle to find food, clean drinking water, and basic necessities for my family.
I lost two brothers. I lost my home. But I have not lost hope.
I am asking you from the bottom of my heart: please donate whatever you can. Even a small contribution can help us buy food, clean water, repair our shelter, and prepare for the arrival of our baby.
If you cannot donate, please repost, quote-post, and share our fundraiser. Your voice can reach someone who may be able to help.
Please don’t let our story disappear.
Help me protect my family and give baby Elias a chance at a better future.

May Allah have mercy on my brothers, who were killed by Israel during the genocide in Gaza.
May Allah grant them the highest place in Jannah, fill their graves with light, and reunite us in Paradise.
I miss them every single day. Their absence is a pain I will carry forever. 💔

Up all night. I have just about finished my account of Day I of the Supreme Court hearing on Palestine Action. So far it is 5,562 words!
I want to return to my city, Rafah. I want to go home, walk through its streets, and see the place where my memories were made.
Rafah is my home. The Israeli occupation took away our safety, destroyed our home, and separated us from our land.
I don’t want another home. I want my home back. I want to return to Rafah and live in peace and dignity. 💔🇵🇸

He was released from prison only to be devastated by the news that his entire family had been killed. There was no one waiting to receive him, no one left to embrace him.
All of his family were killed. His only “fault” was that he worked as an intensive care medical provider in northern Gaza. He was imprisoned, and his family was killed in what feels like retaliation for his humanity.
He is not alone—many of his colleagues have suffered similar fates, targeted, imprisoned, and having their families taken from them. What kind of pain is this? 💔 My friend and colleague in the intensive care unit at the Indonesian Hospital for several years, Dr. Ahmad, was released from prison only to find that the occupation had killed his family. 💔 What kind of injustice is this?
My friend Ahmad writes:
“ My beautiful family, I miss your presence… I miss holding all of you, I miss your embrace and being with you.
My beloved wife Asmaa, my daughter Ghina—the soul of my heart.
I left prison longing for you, my heart burning with love and anticipation to see you again. I never imagined I would be denied that reunion. I was shocked and devastated by the news.
Since that day, I have been lost, numb… I have nothing left but to move between your photos. Life has no meaning without you. I ask God to accept you and to reunite us in the highest levels of Paradise. Praise be to Him for His decree and destiny.
To be a family, and then to become shattered… is an unbearable feeling.”
May God grant you patience, my friend, mend your broken heart, and replace your pain with a healing that eases its bitterness.
Israeli soldiers are killing one woman every other day in Gaza for the past 13 months of the U.S.-monitored “ceasefire,” often by firing directly into tents sheltering displaced families, and often filming themselves firing for fun and posting the videos on social media.
At least 1,602 Palestinians, including 160 women and 326 children, have been killed since Israel agreed to a ceasefire 13 months ago, according to Palestinian authorities.
Drop Site spoke to the devastated brother of a woman killed today, who said his family spends entire days lying flat inside their tent, terrified of being shot if they stand up and step outside.
The world goes to sleep, but Gaza doesn’t.
Children wake up terrified by explosions, mothers hold their babies close, and families pray to see another sunrise.
Please don’t forget Gaza tonight. 💔
This is what nighttime sounds like in Gaza.
Not silence. Not peace. Just drones, explosions, fear, and the cries of people who deserve to sleep safely.
Is this the life the world wants us to accept?
I am from Gaza. I don’t have a powerful voice, a famous name, or thousands of followers.
But I have a story the world needs to hear.
Can you help me reach 5,000 followers? One repost could change everything.
Let’s make Gaza heard. ❤️🇵🇸
Before you go to sleep tonight, remember that millions of people in Gaza have no safe place to sleep.
If you believe every human life matters, give Gaza one minute of your attention. Repost. Let the world see.

Just your reminder:
CHRIST IS KING! 👑
KILLING IS WRONG!
GENOCIDE IS WRONG!
FREE PALESTINE!
If things continue this way in Gaza, the same fate could await its people as that of the Native Americans. Gaza risks being emptied of its people, just as Indigenous communities in America were displaced and driven from their ancestral lands.
