Player profile: Genuine utility player. Great at C, 2nd, SS and 3rd base and OF. Also a strong RHP currently in the mid 80's with great movement and pitch selection. He wants to catch in college and loves the position. He makes his pitchers look good. Pitchers love him and request that he catches their games. Excellent subtle framing and calls a great game. Very athletic behind the plate and commands the defense well. Great quickness and arm. Latest pop time was 1.91. Manufactures outs and blocks very well. He is another coach on the field. Also a strong right handed hitter that finds a way to get on base with a high OBP.  Has power and good situational hitting instincts. Good bunter as well. Good culture kid, never a problem in the dugout. Makes good grades and was an academic all district selection last season of high school.  He was the favorite catcher of his HS team's top pitcher (Blake Cox) who won class 6A pitcher of the year in Texas in 2026. Hayden competed very well in a strong district with one of the toughest schedules in the state. The roster was deep, and he always played against the toughest opponents. He batted .318 with a .475 OBP his junior year. He sprained his thumb while catching midway through the season, and finished the season starting at 2nd base in the Texas class 6A state semi-final series. This kid is a stud and will perform well at the next level. He is not really a self-promoter or active on social media, and his phone number is 737-291-1774. He posts a lot of fishing videos on Instagram: @stxfishing34 email: [email protected] (doesn’t mean he’s a UT fan, he just loves fishing- almost as much as baseball)
