🚒 Fire safety training exercise – Monday 5 October 2026 Humberside Fire and Rescue Service will carry out a training exercise at the Bathurst Street high-rise flats in Hull on Monday 5 October from 11am until approximately 1pm. The exercise will take place in two empty flats on the 8th and 10th floors. It will involve filling one flat with safe, non-harmful cosmetic smoke and testing the emergency evacuation response. Residents should experience very little disruption. However, people in the area will notice fire engines and an aerial platform ladder outside the building, as well as staff from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service and Hull City Council. 👷 Safety officers will be on site throughout the exercise and will be available to provide guidance where needed.
