What is a Black job

I’ve seen a lot of “God is going to destroy those who celebrate Pride just like he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah” comments from Christians lately. This is a fundamental misunderstanding of both God’s character and what actually happened in Sodom according to Scripture. “This was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned. They did not help the poor and needy.” Ezekiel 16;49-50 Sounds a lot more like white evangelical Christians than LGBTQ+ folks.

My grandfather always said: “Never make fun of a man who mispronounces a word. It means he reads.”

My favorite thing about scripture/The Bible is that it gave people access to the library a couple centuries before library cards & public libraries were a thing. It gave us different authors talking about similar themes in different genres of literature. Including fiction.

Every now and then I think about that time I saw a white dude ask how we’d feel if white people had a WAACP. I’ve spent the last several years of my life wonderin what they thought the N in NAACP stood for.

DEI is not the reason why you presume Black people aren’t qualified. Racism is the reason. And a need to believe a Black person could not possibly do better than you. I know it and you know it, too.
