Office space is plentiful, so why are some of the biggest tenants struggling to find a place to go? New construction has collapsed. The Americas office construction pipeline is 82% below its 2020 peak, leaving little new supply to relieve pressure on premium buildings.

High construction and financing costs are giving owners of existing commercial buildings an advantage: fewer new projects are financially viable, limiting competing supply and potentially supporting rents and net operating income over the next 12–24 months. Existing buildings sell below the cost of building new. Across the property types analyzed, values range from 44% to 87% of published construction costs. Contractor bid prices rose 5.3% in the year through August, further challenging new development. 🔗 bit.ly/4z95tsI

AI is only as good as the data feeding it. CRE data lives in old PDF leases, disconnected spreadsheets and databases that don’t match. Messy inputs produce unreliable outputs, which keeps AI out of the decisions that matter.

Manhattan’s office market is moving so quickly that more leases are being signed before space is publicly listed. Speed and broker relationships matter more. Brokers identify upcoming vacancies before listings appear, while existing tenants sometimes exercise contractual rights to take additional space first. Landlords also relocate tenants within their portfolios to assemble larger blocks for other companies.

Hatch's dating post got 23M views and I know it wasn't his intention. Certainly value in that. But you can have a post with 300 views and it the right person views it. Might be a 6 figure check. That is how this works. This is why I don't care about bots or Nigerian royalty

Healthcare real estate used to be overhead. That era is over. Real estate is no longer a support function. It is a growth lever, a revenue source, and a competitive weapon. coydavidson.com/healthcare-r…

Omg it’s beautiful here. Never thought Texas could look like this. This lowkey looks like Southern Europe.

The vibe difference between the 17 year old that waits on me @Whataburger vs @ChickfilA is crazy. One hates being there ... the other you want to be your kid

After years of companies cutting office space, their new leases now average a 13% larger footprint, just as supply is shrinking. Demand for premium office space is surging, rents are up 20%, and developers have every reason to build. Almost nobody is. cnbc.com/2026/10/14/office-i…
