Perhaps I’m too cynical, but I have this nagging suspicion that they purposely didn’t move the weekend around as a way to prove a bit of a point about PI when the races got cancelled. There’s really no reason why we didn’t race yesterday when this weather was clearly forecast.

None of them knew what to do on tyres. Spooked by the rain and shied from the vastly superior medium tyre. Marc reminds me of those old QBs who keep coming in and carving up. Just cleverer than all of these new age upstarts trying to outsmart each other and only beat themselves.

Modern sport is incredibly demoralising. I have my favourites of the new age and will go to bat for them relentlessly of course, but when the chips are down you realise there are only a handful of gods still competing at the top and we will never see the likes again.
