Good write up. Clear and concise.

Yet another Fed decision that just reminds me of why I love Bitcoin in the face of endless monetary debasement.
The Federal Reserve just voted to keep interest rates unchanged, even as inflation remains elevated.
Their stated objective remains 2% inflation, measured using the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index.
I want everyone to understand what this actually means over a generation.
At 2% annual inflation, the U.S. dollar loses 32.7% of its purchasing power over 20 years.
That's a 48.59% cumulative increase in consumer prices. A basket of goods costing $100 today would cost $148.59 in 20 years.
And that's assuming the Federal Reserve achieves its inflation target perfectly, every single year.
Now consider where we actually are.
The latest PCE data shows prices increased 2.43% during the first eight months of 2026.
Annualized on a compounded basis, that's 3.67% inflation.
This is the Federal Reserve's own preferred inflation measurement, running at an annualized pace substantially above its stated target.
Now consider the consequences if that rate persisted.
At 3.67% annual inflation compounded over 20 years, the U.S. dollar loses 51.37% of its purchasing power.
The cumulative price increase would be 105.62%.
Your $100 basket of goods would cost $205.62.
And here's where the mathematics becomes extraordinary.
The median existing American home currently sells for $417,500.
If home prices appreciated at the same 3.67% annual rate, that home would cost approximately $858,467 in 2046.
That's nearly $441,000 in nominal appreciation.
And the real, inflation-adjusted appreciation?
Zero.
A house could more than double in nominal price over a generation without increasing in real value whatsoever.
We spend our entire lives accumulating dollars, negotiating raises, building home equity, and measuring our financial progress using nominal figures.
Meanwhile, the purchasing power of the unit we use to measure that progress continuously deteriorates.
And even if the Federal Reserve achieves exactly what it considers price stability, that still means nearly one-third of the dollar's purchasing power disappearing over 20 years.
At the current annualized PCE pace, that hypothetical loss exceeds half.
These aren't exotic assumptions or complicated financial models. They're the mathematical consequences of compounding inflation, calculated using the Federal Reserve's preferred price index.
Debasement is terrifying.
Thank God for Bitcoin.

Not sure if you have seen them but how would you explain bitcoin’s nonce pattern charts? Is it something to worry about? @100trillionUSD has some published on his feed.
This is fucking bizar.
Leave the #UnitedKingdom while you still can.
Want to have your mind blown?
In 1971, the median household income was $9,030, or 220 ounces of gold.
In 2025, it was $87,460, or just 25 ounces of gold.
Your paycheck went up 10x.
Measured in gold, it fell 88%.
To earn what the median household earned in 1971, you’d need about $890,000 per year today.
That’s what fiat debasement looks like.

#Gold should dump way harder. Nuke the petrock into the ground and make it affordable for modern medicine.
Also, buy #Bitcoin .
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10.
Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years.
Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.

Not bybit related but my passport expired and immediately got access to exchanges limited while banks don’t care at all. Not sure when crypto surveillance became worse than regular banks.
If you live in the EU and you have some #Coingecko candy, check out the rewards as you can get free trezors, you only pay shipping.
Pretty good deal to put your #Bitcoin in #ColdStorage.
However, please consider multivendor multisig when storing significant value.

I am not getting paid for this. I am just a hodler.

so this is nothing now? teapaw.org/0xJohannes_/status/210…
UPDATE: I can confirm that the Ledger supply chain is compromised in Europe as well. @Ledger should initiate an immediate product recall to protect users.
I just purchased a second device from a different Mediamarkt location today, recorded the unboxing process, and discovered spyware once again (video linked in the second tweet).
The device was compromised in the exact same manner, featuring identical modifications (such as additional cables and an LTE module). This indicates its a widespread issue rather than an isolated incident, potentially affecting Ledger inventory across MediaMarkt and Saturn stores throughout Europe (comprising over 1,000 stores across 11 countries).
My initial hypothesis was that these devices were returns that looked unopened to the employees and were just sold again as new however, a MediaMarkt employee confirmed that the device I purchased was not a return, and that returned Ledgers are sent directly back to the manufacturer rather than resold.
Store records show the inventory originated from Aqipa GmbH. While Ledger's CTO was unsure if Aqipa serves as the direct distributor between Ledger and MediaMarkt, it appears to be the case. Given that Aqipa distributes across Europe, any physical retail store receiving stock through them may be at risk.
I sent the first ledger to mark and the second one is going to ledger now, so that they can analyse it.
If you purchased a ledger from anyone other than the official ledger store, make sure to check your device!!

I wrote code. Now I face 45 years in prison because others misused it.
Code that no one controls. Code that no one can change or shut down.
Yet somehow, I’m being held responsible for what others chose to do with it.
I feel like the whole BoA money laundering thing should be talked about, but what's left to say?
I spent a year in prison for not filling out a form around selling Bitcoin and got in trouble because someone two degrees separate from me allegedly used it to launder funds. The amount in question was around $30k.
BoA launders $5b and has to give one fifth of it back to the government. No jail for anyone.
This is America.
So how much did bitcoin increase in value against gold @grok. You didn’t answer the question.

Still, worst of all central banks printing money out of thin air going against the deflationary nature of technological progress which would naturally lead to lower prices everywhere!

Governments can touch ETF’s though… one executive order overnight, emergence closure of markets, etc. Wouldn’t be a first but no need to explain that to you as I am sure you know!
