He warned that "the longer the war continues, the more destruction and loss of life we will see." 🌍 He called Ukraine’s proposal to use Western weapons for deep strikes against Russia "extremely dangerous," stressing that it could spread the war to neighboring countries, including Hungary. "From Hungary’s perspective, and for global security, it would be highly dangerous if Western weapons were used for such strikes." 📜 Minister Szijjártó reiterated that "the only solution is a ceasefire and peace negotiations." He also welcomed that some Western countries have not yet allowed this escalation and hoped that "no one crosses this red line." At the UN, he emphasized that Hungary is part of the global majority pushing for peace talks and the end of the conflict.

From now on, May 19 will be celebrated as World Fair Play Day.
