Houldsworth Valley

Fantastic effort by the girls today at the @forest_heath girls’ football competition

Thank you to our community for the fantastic support at sports day today. The pupils performed brilliantly and we enjoyed some great events. #sportsday

In a revamped sports day, this year we are pitting the reds (HOULDSWORTH) against the blues (VALLEY) in a sporting battle for the new trophy! Who will take the trophy?

A little bit late because of the heatwave but today year 6 completed their Japanese cooking as part of the @Curriculum_USP food festival. Pupils made and tasted gyoza 🥟

Thanks to @NKTacademy for hosting a brilliant afternoon of athletics for our year 5 and 6 children

Great to welcome @FballFunFactory back to Houldsworth Valley today - pupils had a great tome taking part in some football themed activities

Last week Year 6 had a great day out at the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary. They learnt about different species of birds and had the chance to investigate some owl pellets, looking for bones to find out what the birds had been eating. We also met the resident meerkats. @suffolkowls

Year 4 had a fabulous day at the Botanical Gardens in #Cambridge this week. Thankfully the rain held off for most of the day allowing pupils plenty of opportunities to explore the grounds

Children across the school have enjoyed visiting our on-site beach this half term! We are very lucky to be able to offer this provision as part of our commitment to providing a range of learning opportunities for our pupils.

Brand new basketball hoops installed today - making the most of our courtyard area 🏀

Thank you @Tesco #HVinthenews @Newmarket_News @NKTJournal 🍇 🍋‍🟩 🍈 🍎 🍌

Another year, another wonderful group of Houldsworth Valley runners attend the @LondonMarathon mini marathon! Fabulous running everyone! #londonminimarathon #tcsminimarathon @UnitySchoolsP

Celebrating a great first week back! The summer term at Houldsworth Valley got off to a fantastic start last week - it was a pleasure to walk around school and observe so much wonderful learning! Pupils have returned with such great energy and enthusiasm.

Year 5 had a great time this week at @NKTacademy joining in with the @forest_heath multi sports event

Every Tuesday pupils are invited to stay for enrichment activities. These exciting activities are planned to enhance our curriculum and offer children a chance to mix with different aged pupils, meet other members of staff and develop different skills and talents.

Time for year 4 to shine today as we attended the 6v6 football tournament at @bottishamvc Thanks again @forest_heath

Cheerleading workshops across the school this week!

Another great @forest_heath football competition - this time our KS2 girls took to the field and played brilliantly across their four games. Big thanks to all involved in the organising
