BBC publicity staff refused to promote an Emmy-winning documentary about the victims of the October 7th massacre in Israel, claiming to be "too busy" and saying the programme was "too political". dailysceptic.org/2026/10/27/…

I'm genuinely lost with this RAF Fairford case.
Mohmed Abdulkarim, pictured here in a wheelchair, allegedly loaded three white vans with metal drums containing petrol, water butts and smart dashcams.
A month ago, I said every new development left me more confused than the last.
But this really is the icing on the cake.
Every time I think this case can't get any more bizarre, another detail emerges.

Meet Mohamed Ahmed Abudlkarim
He has been charged today under the national security act over the RAF Fairford plot.
No, this is not a joke.

BBC as "the national Broadcaster" has shifted so far from its remit as to be adjudged a total utter failure. It should have been put in special measures years ago. The quality of Drama, Documentaries, Childrens progs have tail spun. But the News outlets are a bloody disgrace.

🔔Former BBC Panorama producer Phil Craig says the BBC’s Gaza coverage has shattered his faith in the broadcaster.
His criticism raises serious questions about editorial judgement, accuracy & impartiality in reporting Israel’s war on Gaza.
For Palestinians, this is not merely a media debate.
How their suffering is reported shapes public understanding & accountability.
The BBC’s reputation cannot replace scrutiny.
Trust must be earned through journalism that holds power to account.

Pains me to say it, but there needs to be an independent inquiry into anti-semitism at the BBC. Lucie Kon's allegations - some of which are set out in this @TimesRadio interview - are so serious they can't be brushed aside. Over to you @lisanandy.

We need more of this in Britain. Reboot civic pride and cobble the streets. Cobbled streets provide exceptional longevity (a properly installed cobblestone street can last for hundreds of years), natural water management, built-in speed reductions and a timeless aesthetic value.

Credit where credit is due. Durham county council re cobbled this street and it looks brilliant

In my previous professional working life i was a Manager for Wetherspoons and in my own personal experience Its 100% not true about stopping customers coming in wearing a Poppy, This is clearly a Manager using his discretion and being very bad at using it, Tim Martin is a good man and Wetherspoons was a great place to work, I myself wore a poppy on my staff lanyard all year round including Head Office visits, Area Manager visits and visits by Tim himself and never once was it mentioned or questioned.

Yesterday, I was barred from entering the West Bank by Israeli officials, as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
What's happening here in Palestine is unjust. We've just witnessed what Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and many others have called a genocide unfold in Gaza.
We came here to show the world, and to show solidarity with the Palestinian people. The Israeli government didn't allow that.
