AST’s statement that “AST SpaceMobile is not transmitting in the 430–440 MHz band on the BB1s or BW3” is demonstrably incorrect. Independent sources such as @SatNOGS confirm frequent reception of AST signals from its launch until well into 2025. The claim is therefore either a misrepresentation or a deliberate falsehood. More than 3000 confirmed positive (green) observations from Bluewalker-3 from 2022-09-22 until 2025-07-23 can be reviewed here: network.satnogs.org/observat… BlueWalker-3 transmissions in the 70 cm band amateur radio band ceased on July 22, 2025—just after a wave of public filings and formal objections and only ceased its activities after public discussions began. The independent SatNOGS tools mentioned before can also be used to monitor Bluebird 1-5 on 430-440 MHz amateur radio and amateur satellite bands: Bluebird-1, -4 and -5 operated continuously for 3 month from launch on September 12, 2025 onward. Bluebird-3 even for 5 month. With the exception of Bluebird-2 which operated there only for 2 weeks. Fair enough, Bluebird 1-5 have ceased using the amateur radio bands some month ago, but all of them operated continuously during those time world-wide and not just only when in range of the groundstation. Bluewalker-3 was operating since launch in 2022 until several days ago. Thus the claim that they are not using 430-440 MHz (at the time when the community started complaining) is at least misrepresenting. It should also be noticed, that the AST Annex E Potential Interference to Amateur Operations 430-440 MHz Analysis was generated on August 05, 2025 and not accompanied in the original filings. However, it does only refer to the probability of interference with amateur satellite service (435-438 MHz) and not the whole amateur radio service from 430-440 MHz.
