We already know this is false. It's been 7 years since the Sequel Trilogy ended and that era couldn't be more dead. Not a single ST figure or vehicle on toy shelves, no spin-off TV series, no commemorative re-releases. Nothing. Whereas in 2012, 7 years after the Prequel Trilogy ended, TPM was back in theaters with a spiffy 3D upgrade, an entire new line of Hasbro figures with Darth Maul branding that included characters from all the prequel films debuted, and the prequel era Clone Wars TV series was bigger than ever.

My favorite part about this whole Prequels vs. Original Trilogy debate is knowing that in another 15-20 yrs, the kids who grew up watching the Disney Star Wars trilogy will be calling us all idiots for "not recognizing that those movies were actually kino". It is what it is.

My favorite Patrick Stewart story is that he loved driving dune buggies, so he demanded a scene in Nemesis where he drives a dune buggy, even though a. it makes zero sense that Starfleet would use dune buggies and b. it was totally out of character But look at that smile.

Doctor Pulaski on TNG was clearly an attempt to replicate something of the Spock-McCoy dynamic on the original Star Trek, but they replaced the self-assured Vulcan who gave as good as he got with a naive autistic child who just wanted to be friends. Not likable behavior.
