I saw some Faujeet and OSINT accounts celebrating Abdul El-Sayed’s victory, so a little reminder: At a Pakistani-American event in Metro Detroit, he openly called out Pakistan’s military’s role in undermining democracy and highlighted the jailing and intimidation of political figures. He also drew parallels with Egypt’s military rule. Just thought they should know!

Republicans hoped to gain 14 seats across OH, NC, FL, TX, AL and TN by making them more Republican, most into Trump+10 or redder districts. Instead, they didn't gain in any of these states and LOST TEN seats across them as some gerrymanders were neutralized and others collapsed.

All the Texas races for the US House have now been called by the AP. The GOP gerrymander was intended to turn a 25R-13D map into 30R-8D, +5R.
But the voters had different plans. The Texas delegation next year will be 24R-14D, +1D.

Democrats’ new trifectas in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Nevada could let them push the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact past the 270-electoral-vote threshold needed to take effect.
The compact currently covers 222 electoral votes. Adding the five states’ 61 votes would bring it to 283. Once active, participating states would award their electors to the national popular-vote winner rather than the candidate who won their state.

Lithium, nickel, cobalt…these are essential for EVs, batteries, electronics and defence. Yet, we remain heavily dependent on imports of refined materials.
To address this, the Cabinet has approved a scheme to change this.
Key highlights:
New critical mineral processing plants.
Capital subsidy to boost investment.
Greater domestic value addition.
Stronger supply chains.
