Being overly involved in religious activities gives me a really uncomfortable vibe. It feels like there’s something else behind it, something they’re not showing openly. If they’re so deeply attached to their beliefs, then why leave their own country and come here to perform this drama? Yet nobody questions them, and we all know why.

This is Kumar Vishwas, the man who wrote the lyrics for Mangal Rang. A music composer doesn’t just randomly make a song and put it in a film. The director and producers are part of that decision too. Honestly.. people are trying so hard to find flaws in Ramayana that they haven't even given the movie a chance yet. Someone has a problem with Sita's blouse, someone with her jewellery, someone with the wedding rituals, and someone with the stage design. Every little detail is being turned into an issue before the movie is even released. My question is simple: why cant you just wait for the movie to come out? We're talking about an era thousands of years ago. There are scriptures, different versions, traditions and interpretations, but people are acting as if they personally witnessed everything that happened back then. Everyone has their own idea of what Ramayana should look like, and apparently, if the filmmakers dont match that exact imagination, they've already failed. Criticism is fair. If the movie comes out and the storytelling, acting or direction is bad, criticise it. But judging the entire film based on a few pictures and short clips makes no sense to me. Making a film on Ramayana is already a massive responsibility because of how deeply people connect with this story. Instead of waiting to see what the makers have created, people are busy finding reasons to hate it before it even reaches theatres. Let the movie come out. Watch it. Then form your opinion. Not everything needs to become a controversy. Sometimes, we need to stop looking for reasons to hate something before we even know what it is.

So many remakes of the Ramayana have been made, but nobody screams.. Stop remaking the remake of the remake! But the moment Bollywood remakes a South Indian movie, suddenly everyone becomes a film industry intellectual - Bollywood has no originality! They only make remakes! The double standards are hilarious, man. Pick a side!
