The Beatles at the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band cover shoot at Chelsea Manor Studios in London on March 30, 1967.
The little boy standing in front of Paul and George is Adam Cooper, the young son of photographer Michael Cooper, who shot the cover in his own studio. Behind the band stands the life-size collage of cardboard heroes built by artists Peter Blake and Jann Haworth, with names from Marilyn Monroe and Bob Dylan to Oscar Wilde and Karl Marx, plus waxworks of the Beatles themselves borrowed from Madame Tussauds.
The album came out in late May 1967 in the UK, and the cover won the Grammy for Best Album Cover, Graphic Arts.
