Reggie Hayward

Megan Hayward deserves recognition for her leadership, business experience, and willingness to ask tough questions about taxpayer dollars! Let’s not overlook her credentials. Megan Hayward is a successful Jacksonville businesswoman, founder and CEO of TempGuru, a University of North Florida graduate, and a participant in Leadership Jacksonville and Leadership Florida. But here’s something even more important that Jacksonville taxpayers should know. Official JTA board records confirm that Hayward served not only as BOARD TREASURER but also as CHAIR of the Safety, Audit and Compliance Committee in January 2025. Those weren’t ceremonial titles. They were positions directly relevant to financial oversight, accountability, and responsible governance. When Hayward began questioning JTA spending, executive benefits, and financial reporting, she was raising concerns squarely within the responsibilities of those leadership positions. Shouldn’t Jacksonville taxpayers expect their appointed board members to ask difficult questions, challenge questionable expenditures, and demand answers? Her removal from the board raises legitimate questions about how concerns from oversight officials were handled. Those questions deserve documented answers, not political finger-pointing. Regardless of political affiliations, Jacksonville needs experienced business leaders who are willing to scrutinize government spending rather than simply rubber-stamp it. Megan Hayward’s credentials deserve respect, her documented concerns deserve answers, and Jacksonville taxpayers deserve transparency. — Jax Watchdog @ActionNewsJax @Fla_Pol @FCN2go @jaxdotcom @BenBeckernews @FLVoiceNews
