Followed up with Miles Bridges about Devin Booker's comments about the second unit. "It's fun playing with that second unit. They get to the second side, third side. As the starters, we got to do a better job with that. We're letting the ball stick too much. We got what, four good scorers out there? We got to be better offensively with that. Yeah, we could take some pointers from the second unit." Me: Is there anything specific you can kind of point to that you guys can be better in? Bridges: "Defensive urgency, rebounding, and moving the ball on offense in our half-court set."

I asked Devin Booker about the bench unit, their chemistry, and how their energy got him going. "I'd say right now they have more of a chemistry than our first group, and I think typically that's how teams are. You play against those guys every day in practice, and they know each other like white on rice. I've been guarding Collin (Gillespie) and Oso (Ighodaro), and having Goody picked me up for a long time now. "I know how special players they are, and every time we can share the court together, I always enjoy that. You can feel the crowd get involved. The ball is hopping around, and the defense is at a high level. As the first unit, we need to learn from them in a way, and the type that they play: everybody sacrifices in those groups, and you see the result that you get out of it."

Devin Booker on whether or not there was an emphasis on being more assertive during his 43-point performance. "I don't know. I don't know. I'm just playing. I don't want to go into the game saying I'm going to force it tonight, but it's definitely in my head to be more assertive." Q: @DougHaller

Jordan Ott touched more on the Suns going small against the Warriors and the biggest challenge with that lineup. "So between him (Ryan Dunn) and Miles (Bridges) and Goody, are we big enough to rebound? That's always going to be a challenge when you downsize. "Our pace of play will only get better by the amount of minutes that we're together, but can we rebound in those units, and then who adjusts first? Do they take the big out or do we have to put our big back in? It is always the challenge. I think at times we had to put our big back in in that first half and the second half." Q: @StephenPG3

Jordan Ott shared the precise moment Devin Booker's 17-point explosion in the third quarter began. "When we got the rebound (8:48 in the third quarter), I think it's all connected: the defense and the defensive possession into the offense. We talked a lot about the speed at which we started. The offensive possession is really from the end of the defensive possession...once we get into the space, just make the right play. I think we saw some of that tonight." Q: @DuaneRankin

I've missed this Jalen Green bounce.

Devin Booker had 17 points in the third quarter and is up to 36 on the night. The Warriors are doing everything they can to stop him, but it's tough shot after tough shot. Phoenix leads 102-92 to start the fourth.

Second quarter has looked better, thanks to that second unit. Still some areas to clean up but the response to Golden State's physicality has been promising.

This game could be when the Suns miss Mark Williams the most.

Jordan Goodwin comes in, comes up with a steal, leading to a Devin Booker dunk. Other guys on the team weren't kidding when they said he'd bring the energy the moment he checks in.

I asked Shawn Marion if he feels his career would be any different if he were to play in the current iteration of the NBA. "I think I can play in every era personally. But definitely, this would be a lot more tailored to me because of how fast it is and me being able to go out one through five. I mean, I was able to do a ton with real power forwards and real centers, not now... I'm not saying it's not physical, but they don't post up. Everything is now a face guard, which was catered to me easily then. I probably have way more steals now, way more steals, way more blocks, way more rebounds." Followed up and asked: "Make more money?" Marion: "Yeah... I mean, oh my god. I don't know what it would be right now."

Shawn Marion was succinct when asked about being patient through the Hall of Fame process. "I have nothing to do with it. Everything I've done is signed, sealed, and delivered. They say men lie, women lie. Numbers don't, though, right? Q: @DuaneRankin

Shawn Marion touched on what being around the Suns organization means to him and being honored. "I think it's history. To have history around at any given moment is truly special. I think I pay homage to all the guys who paved the way for me. I've seen all the legends last night... I just truly, truly appreciate it of them and of the things that they sacrificed for me to be able to stand here and talk to you guys right now. Of course, I played my part in it, but they paved the way for me, and I'm truly appreciative."

Jordan Ott shared if Wednesday’s 41-point loss still leaves a sour taste amongst the team. “It’s just not out of the system, you would hope so. That’s what we tried to clean it up yesterday. Get it out, acknowledge it, move on to the next one to have it not be repeated. I think just in general you don't repeat mistakes in our approach… we’ll be reminded here in the locker room. It’s on top of mind for all of us, but we have to use the emotion of tonight in the crowd in the pregame for our advantage.” Q: @DougHaller
