Took time to visit the professionals at HealthFirst Bluegrass, who serve over 21,000 people in Lexington for a frank conversation about our nation’s healthcare policies and how they affect this not-for-profit Federally Qualified Health Center.
We’ve enjoyed some great conversations in the last month with @RepAndyBarr’s office, @AmyMcGrathKY, @GortonForMayor and @ronniebastin - we hope everyone gets out to vote, and we thank everyone for their public service.
Thank you to the @LFCHD, the city of #Lexington, the @SalArmyLex and Bluegrass Community Health Center for the great #StandDown resource fair yesterday. #LexRocks #EndHomelessness
We get to take a moment to thank our volunteer Board of Directors, elect new officers, and wish a Board Member all the best as he completes his term at tonight's Board meeting.
Our flag flies at half mast in solemn observation of, and appreciation of the life and service of @SenJohnMcCain.

There has been a lot of talk of #Hepatitis in the news lately - hepatitis A, B, and C, in fact. Here's a link to educate yourself more on the viruses and what you can do to protect yourself and recognize the symptoms: cdc.gov/hepatitis/hav/afaq.h… #HepatitisC #Lexington
Good stuff from @MHADelaware and "The Rock!" We'll also add that there is no health without mental health. There are no wrong doors to good health. xitter.cf/MHADelaware/status/101…

Enjoy #LexingtonBurgerWeek! There are so many great choices - even healthy ones out there! Thank you to our restaurants and chefs for their creativity and participation!

HealthFirst is pleased to host a training on #KentuckyHEALTH by the @kyhcn tomorrow at our Southland clinic. We're all eager to learn about the broad impact this waiver will have on our patients and how we can best assist them.
Our friends at @kyvoices4health have developed a wonderful overview of #KentuckyHEALTH (Medicaid waiver). Check it out here: docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/4f6d6…
If you have a minute - please take it to make a quick donation to our friends at @TheNestLex today for #KYGives18. They do incredible work for women, children and families here in #Lexington. They deserve your support. kygives.org/organizations/th…

May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month! It's time to #GetActive y'all! Check out your city's lists of #parks - I'll bet you'll be surprised at what all they have to offer. That's a great place to start and get moving.
