The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed more than 4,000 cases of measles this year as the country grapples with the largest outbreak of the highly infectious virus in 35 years. Nearly a fifth of cases are among children under the age of 5 and 95% are among unvaccinated people. Pennsylvania is the epicenter of the outbreak, with more than 1,100 cases, including five measles-related deaths and a possible sixth still being investigated. @RealAmnaNawaz spoke with Dr. Evan Shirey, a pediatric infectious disease doctor based in Pennsylvania.
