There is no shortage of unopposed races on Mecklenburg County ballots tomorrow. MeckGOP did not recruit any candidates for DA, sheriff or the local judicial races. Only one Republican is running for Mecklenburg County Commission and only 8 NCGA races are contested in Meck County

James Thomas has been running the New York City Marathon since 1980, and tonight he completed his 43rd. After crossing the finish line as the last man in the race, he told me this would be his final marathon. His mind still wants to keep going, but his body can no longer do it.
