Canada is so lost.
This segment by @BenMulroney perfectly captures the absurdity of this job posting.
“You are a friggin moron - whoever wrote this”.
British Columbia somehow manages to out stupid itself every time.

I have spoken out against anti-Muslim hate in the Michigan Senate race. I will speak out just as loudly when the target is Jewish people.
Let me state a little-known fact: ISRAEL GETS LESS THAN 0.1 PERCENT OF THE FEDERAL BUDGET. That’s less than one tenth of a percent!
But there is an ad running that tells voters they can’t afford groceries because the United States gives so much money to Israel. In reality, the United States spends money in and on countries all around the world – but this ad singles out the Jewish state. The ad is as dangerous as it is dishonest.
You can disagree with how the United States spends money abroad. But telling hungry families that the Jewish state is the reason they are suffering is wrong and shameful.
Blaming Jews for people’s problems is an old story. Anybody who has read the last century of history knows where it leads. It is a dark pathway.
This ad is anti-Jewish hate and should come down immediately. Abdul El-Sayed should denounce it today.

This year alone, more Christians have been killed by Muslims in Nigeria than Gazans in three years of war.
Not a single Muslim or pro-Palestinian activist has protested like they do for Gaza. Weird.
This is how insane this country of Canada is.
The “Youth” here are financially supported by an American 501C, Our Children’s Trust, Suzuki Foundation, among others. Plaintiffs are mostly FN, and since Canada takes race into account for every ruling, they will most likely win. Good luck courting foreign investment.
CBC’s climate coverage is advocacy dressed as journalism — and it violates their own Journalistic Standards and Practices
CBC’s JSP is explicit:
* Impartiality: “We do not promote any particular point of view on matters of public debate.”
* Balance: On controversial issues, “we ensure that divergent views are reflected respectfully.”
* Journalists must avoid even the appearance of advocacy for a cause.
Brodie Fenlon, Editor-in-Chief, has repeatedly declared climate “a top priority” and “the most pressing story of our time,” with dedicated beats, special projects, and institutional resources
That is a policy choice, not neutral news judgment
Look at the current youth climate trial coverage. The framing is almost entirely the plaintiffs’: “historic,” backpack-wearing kids skipping school for court, cheering supporters, moral urgency. The government’s actual position — that the Charter does not compel climate mitigation or a “safe climate system,” and that Canada’s ~1.4% of global emissions means even zeroing out would have negligible effect — is mentioned, then quickly subordinated
No established Charter right exists requiring specific emissions targets. Courts have repeatedly treated these claims as political questions, not justiciable constitutional duties. Causation is the central barrier. That legal reality is the baseline, not a fringe view. Presenting the case as kids heroically defending rights while soft-pedaling the absence of those rights and the causation problem is not balanced reporting under the JSP. It is promotional by CBC
CBC’s own standards prohibit promoting a point of view and require reflecting divergent perspectives on matters of public controversy. Treating climate policy as settled moral territory while downplaying legal, economic, and scale realities does the opposite. Public broadcasters are not activist NGOs. The JSP exists precisely to stop this @brodiefenlon @CBCOmbud
Unbelievable
For those of you who thought the visit from a Bedford Borough Council official to investigate our daughter Zoe’s (age 12) pretend teddy bear cafe was too ridiculous to be real, here is the arrival of official. This is totally legit. She really did show up at our property to investigate the illegal teddy bears having their coffee🧸🧸☕️☕️
Yes
This.
Starting January 4, every school in Alberta will proudly fly both the Canadian and Alberta flags, and any other flags will only be temporarily displayed when they serve a clear educational, commemorative or community purpose.
Let’s teach our children to celebrate our amazing country and province.

Imagine if SCOTUS sent a letter to Kaitlyn Collins saying she’s been denounced.
It has come to my attention that I have been denounced by @Advocates_Soc for criticizing judicial decisions — and yes, individual judges.
Here's the thing. When someone, for example, spends her lawyerly career writing op-eds in favour of migration and calling herself an activist, and then becomes a federal judge, and from that seat allows all sorts of undesirables to remain in Canada on weak grounds, people are free to draw a connection from A to B.
When a judge, for example, spends his lawyer years advocating fiercely for more race-based law, and then later throws out gun charges of black men on his (unsupported) assertion that police were racist during their arrests, people are free to question whether he's really a fair adjudicator.
When a judge, for example, says that a ban on drug trafficking is unconstitutional, and then *applauds* vigilante drug dealers for their self-proclaimed safe supply program — applauds them for supporting the business of organized crime and feeding the addictions of street people — that's beyond the pale. You're worried about democracy being poisoned? Worry about the judge who threw out Parliament's law against selling heroin because she felt it was "common sense" that it was supported by science.
I agree that it's not right to criticize a judge personally for impartially applying the law and coming to an unpopular decision (which they may even privately disagree with). But when their professional history, or their conduct in court, suggests allegiance to a cause that they happen to be ruling softly on, it will get noticed.
Bringing the administration of justice into disrepute is a two-way street, you know.
Great idea, Canada. Take legal action against international companies that lay iff employees. That’ll attract more investment.
After laying off 350 people at Stelco, the CEO of the parent company says:
“I bought Stelco based on the premise that Canada and the United States are friends. They were friends, when I closed the deal (in 2024) … they are no longer friends.”

The safety of air passengers is a fundamental principle of international aviation and ICAO. I am deeply concerned by today’s incident aboard a Flydubai flight bound for Israel and relieved that all passengers are safe.
I commend the swift action and courage of those on board that helped bring the aircraft to safety. My thoughts are with those who were injured, and I wish them a full and speedy recovery.
