So this happened last night.....
Thank you for the EPIC amount of messages/wishes. I can tell you that a @MetOpera jump in as Norma is not for the faint hearted!
But, I got to make MUSIC to the highest level with fab colleagues, and that's the part I'm most grateful for.

7 September 2026 Nepal
Right now, in Nepal, we are facing something I have never faced before.
Not one rescue — but multiple potential rescues, unfolding at the same time, in different places, each with its own dangers, uncertainties and lives that may still be saved.
It has made me think about Silkyara.
There, 41 men were underground and we had one seemingly impossible task: bring them home alive.
We passed that test together.
But perhaps passing one great test does not mean the testing is over.
Perhaps sometimes it means we are being entrusted with a greater one.
Western traditions might call this duty: we do what is right because it is our responsibility, even when success is uncertain.
Asian traditions offer another powerful idea: dharma. The test is not simply whether we succeed. It is whether we continue to do what is right when the path becomes harder, the responsibilities multiply, and the outcome cannot be known.
Silkyara taught me never to confuse unlikely with impossible.
Nepal is teaching me something more: when several lives may depend upon us at once, hope must become discipline, compassion must become action, and duty cannot depend upon certainty of success.
East or West, the principle feels the same.
We are measured not only by the lives we save, but by the lives we refuse to abandon.

So many twists and turns, part of an almost inconceivable series of events in Verdi’s Il Trovatore, keep the audience on its toes. Dir. Matthew Barclay builds on that foundation with storytelling of electrifying intensity and detail in @MelbourneOpera’s new, must-see production.
I'm very proud and delighted to share this live broadcast from my performance of Strauss Four Last Songs with the ASO and the magnificent Mark Wigglesworth.
I hope you enjoy.

As far as dressing rooms go, I've definitely struck the jackpot.
My first AIDA, in concert at The Sydney Opera House is happening TOMORROW!
What a joy.
Whoever thought that allowing this man and I to be in the same cast, and on the opera house stage this weekend, is clearly bonkers.
But I love them for it.
What a joy to be doing this job alongside the classy act that that is Peter Coleman-Wright.
AIDA debut here I come.
This weekend, I get to perform Strauss' Vier Letzte Lieder alongside the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, with none other than Maestro Wigglesworth.
A man whom I greatly admire, and a colleague whom I treasure.
Dreams really do come true.
'In the Dvorak, Dix was clear and lustrous as she spun out the soprano line, sounding extraordinary on soft high notes....The echoing phrases between Dix and Petruccelli, both voices free and radiant, were quite literally spine-tingling.'
