'I'm working on a show with brain as the central core, and there are a number of songs that will be part of that project. This is one of those and it's a point in the narrative where we can both read thoughts and write thoughts. The person singing is not sure whether he has his own thoughts, he's inside his own mind or inside someone else's.’
I kept a journal in 2001 and wrote about being in NYC on 9/11, working in Union Station, and about having the honor to volunteer at Ground Zero.
Please read it through the lens of 2001, not 2025. I was younger and more idealistic, as was the world.

I am begging Democratic lawmakers to stop solely pointing out the obvious problems and start publicly talking about how to address them.
We know our democracy is unstable and unhealthy. What are you gonna do about it?
Cease the platitudes and broad statements. Get specific and talk about actions.
She is the worst of the worst. I know too many kids (including my own) who are only functioning due to appropriate medication. LIVID.
@MarshaBlackburn does not have the slightest grasp of a whole host of issues, but her knowledge of #ADHD is even weaker. Championing counseling instead of rather than along with medication for a neurologically-based condition is monstrous.
SUPER odd time to be working on a book about the Cold War and governments doing scary stuff. But the music and love angles are making it worth it.

Having a HORRIBLE customer experience from @goldbelly & out of ideas. How does one get an answer from customer service? NYE dinner is shipping a FULL WEEK early and all the produce will be bad by the time we need it. Can't get an answer from anyone. Losing a long-term customer.

The AIDS Memorial Quilt was created in 1985 to honor the memory of those we’ve lost to HIV/AIDS.
It started with one name on one panel – four decades later, the quilt holds 110,000 names.
Yesterday, for the first time, the Quilt was on display on the White House's South Lawn.
