I ordered some books in Japanese and the method I’ve found to quickly look up new words is to scan the whole page in using a cam scanner and then paste it in Jisho for lookups. Doesn’t really work for grammar though
To anyone (no one) curious, the books are: また同じ夢を見ていた、人間失格、恋とそれとあと全部、恋する寄生虫、 and スターティング・オーヴァー
I’ve barely made progress in the first one but I’m getting there
I have a 15 minute daily limit on Twitter so instead of seeing all of the Epic Games Launcher stuff live on the feed I get it through my brother as a secondary source like he's the town crier
it's funny that nisemonogatari is known as 'that' season of monogatari because it is also probably the single most important season for the overarching theme of the show
Sometimes I reply to accounts with Touhou characters as their name as if they are the character (on Youtube) and it’s difficult to tell sometimes if they intend to be RP accounts or if I'm just confusing them
Having Reimu as a favorite Touhou is great because I can just open Twitter and see new fanart almost every time
I’m taking a Japanese class at my college because I need the language credits and wow the Genki books are actually pretty solid for learning to write even if they move pretty slow
It’s also nice to get more grammar practice because I’m not very good at practicing it despite it being (probably) the most important thing for understandable output. My vocab is decent (on paper at least) but that doesn’t matter if I can’t structure it
