The YouTube channel we built CeraVe hit 150M+ views in < 6 months. I think these brands have the same potential: For context, we partnered with CeraVe to build an explainer channel that made skincare feel simple, entertaining, and actually understandable. Any brand with overwhelmed, confused, or highly research-driven customers can win with this format. Here are the 6 I think can crush 👇

You're building for 2036. But there's one centuries-old financial relic that, sometimes, is the only thing that will do. Introducing physical checkbooks from Mercury. Really.

WOWWW Rob crushed this edit…  One great piece of content can become dozens of pieces across every platform. This video breaks down how a single LinkedIn post can be repurposed into carousels, short-form videos, stories, Substack articles, and more—without constantly creating from scratch. Top enterprise & startup marketing teams are scaling video output without adding 10× the headcount. How? By hiring overseas video editors. As the video engine behind Fortune 500 brands, startups, creators, and celebrities, we've seen what makes this strategy work and what makes it fail miserably. Let's start with what makes it fail miserably: No creative director / leadership team. Many teams assume they can hire a few overseas editors, hand off footage, and magically scale content. That's usually when quality drops, deadlines slip, and everyone concludes that "overseas talent doesn't work." The reality is the opposite. One of our longest-standing staffing clients is a major media company. We've worked together since 2022. Since then, they've: → Expanded from 1 channel to 3 channels → Doubled their subscriber base → Saved over $570,000 in production costs But those results didn't happen because they hired overseas editors. They happened because they paired great editors with great creative leadership. Their in-house creative lead owns strategy, content direction, and feedback. Our editors operate as a true extension of their team, handling post-production at scale while maintaining quality and consistency. So TLDR: If you have a creative lead in-house, scaling video with offshore editors can be a huge success. If that sounds like you...DM me! I've got your editor🫡

"We'll just make long-form content and cut it into shorts." This is the #1 mistake I see with enterprise & startup marketing teams. Because yes... you'll have shorts. But you probably won't have GOOD shorts that perform well 🤭 The content that wins attention in a 30-second feed is very different from the content that works in a 10 minute educational video. Don't get me wrong, repurposing is smart. But if brand awareness is a serious priority, shorts deserve their own strategy, creative process, and team. When we help enterprise & startups build their own YouTube channels, we typically like to start with shorts, figure out what works, then scale to long form IF it serves the brand's business objective.

The enterprise & startup marketing teams crushing video are actually wayyy leaner than you'd think: Typically... 1) A strong creative lead who owns strategy, messaging, and direction 2) Offshore video editors to scale the execution 3) Producer who handles ops, social media, posting, etc. 4) On screen talent (if applicale) As the video engine behind Fortune 500s, startups, & creators, I've seen what makes this strategy work and what makes it fail miserably. Let's start with what makes it fail miserably: Offshoring video editing without a strong creative director / leadership team. A lot of teams think they can hire a few editors, hand them footage, and instantly scale content. That's usually when quality drops, deadlines slip, and everyone concludes that "offshore talent doesn't work." The reality is the opposite. YOU NEED BOTH TO TRULY SCALE. Their in-house creative lead owns strategy, content direction, and feedback. Our editors operate as a true extension of their team, handling post-production at scale while maintaining quality and consistency. So TLDR: If you have a creative lead in-house, scaling video with offshore editors can be a huge success. If you don't have a strong creative lead in-house, hire one—or partner with an agency that specializes in the type of content you're trying to produce. NOTE: If you go the agency route, make sure incentives are aligned with the business outcome you're actually trying to achieve.

How does @Google Maps finds you the SHORTEST way to get anywhere, accurately, always?!? It’s crazy.. Google first mapped the world by driving cars equipped with massive camera systems down streets across the globe—capturing roads from virtually every angle and combining that with satellite and aerial imagery. But cars can't reach everywhere. So Google strapped those cameras to backpacks, bikes, boats... even camels. The wild part isn't the maps, though. It's the traffic. Roads are constantly changing—accidents, construction, congestion, events. A static map would be useless. So Google uses real-time movement data from millions of phones and vehicles on the road. Each device acts like a tiny sensor, anonymously feeding movement information into Google's traffic system. Their routing algorithms then analyze all of those signals in real time to determine which roads are moving, slowing down, or backed up. That's why when you open Google Maps, it can instantly route you around traffic and find the fastest path to your destination. @Google @googlemaps

Top VC firms are helping portcos with video But not just product launches (thank god). The moat isn't the launch anymore. It's the ability to earn attention every week after it. We're seeing more demand than ever for ongoing video support. But that doesn't mean having a massive in-house production team either. The marketing teams crushing video are actually wayyy leaner than you'd think: Typically... 1) A strong creative lead who owns strategy, messaging, and direction 2) Outsourced video editors to scale the execution

I jammed with 5 big health brands on short-form video this week. All of them want the same thing: to become the thought leader in their space. How? Fun, science-based explainers. And one surprisingly big opportunity no brand is owning yet is exercise explainers. IMO, someone like @onepeloton can crush this. Examples: - Don’t skip this leg exercise - NEVER do squats like this - The most underrated back exercise - Is Zone 2 cardio actually effective? - The perfect squat (5 steps) The format for each video is pretty straightforward: #1: The hook Start with the mistake: "Stop doing your single-leg deadlifts like this…" We’ve seen this work already for the 150M view YouTube channel we built CeraVe. Retention is highest when you start with how NOT to do something. #2: Main body Then get into the correct form — but animate it. Really visualize the muscles firing & joints loading. My favorite part about this is that you can bake in so many UI elements from the app, like the body activity, stats, scores, etc. P.S love y'all <3 @RobinNYC @alextoussaint25 @andy_speer + the whole crew!

This vid we made for CeraVe's YouTube Channel got ~6M views in 48 hrs. If you're a marketing leader focused on YouTube...watch this: We obsess over just 2 metrics: #1: Swipe Rate — how well the hook stops the scroll #2: Retention — how well the video holds attention over time Our benchmark: 80%+ on both. This video performed so well because it nailed both, especially the hook! A great hook has 2 parts: 1) Verbal: "If you get a skin tag, it might look like you can just rip it off yourself... don't." This creates a curiosity gap that makes viewers want to keep watching, which boosts retention. 2) Visual: The skin tag being ripped off. The verbal hook sparks the question. The visual hook makes it impossible to ignore. When both work together, viewers stop scrolling and stick around long enough for the algorithm to keep pushing the video to larger audiences.

You know those MASSIVE nuclear plants? We built them from... ATOMIC BOMBS! Because back in World War II, scientists learned that if you smash a tiny particle called a neutron into uranium, the atoms split, releasing a HUGE amount of energy. That FIRES out more neutrons and smashes into more uranium atoms… creating a chain reaction. If nothing stops it, you get a nuclear bomb. Now, during WWII, we just rely on coal, oil, and dams to make electricity. And THAT’S the problem. Because after the war, all of those things are scarce. So scientists are like "Wait… if we can use nuclear energy to blow up cities… Then… maybe we can control it and use it for… electricity!" So they build this machine with uranium inside it: a nuclear reactor. Surround it with water, and when the reactor starts up, a neutron shoots into a uranium atom… the atom SPLITS open and energy comes out! But instead of exploding, the energy heats water, turning it into steam that rises up and spins a giant turbine. That turbine spins a generator, making electricity!

This is our newest video we made for CeraVe. It’s clear YouTube Shorts doesn't show your video to everyone at once. It shows it to a tiny test group first. Then it analyzes the signals: Did people finish it? Did they watch it again? Did they like it, share it, leave a comment? The “algorithm” is basically asking: "Is this worth showing to more people?" If the answer is yes? New test group. Bigger this time. Then bigger again. Then bigger again. Then you’re viral 📈
