Thereโs a phone number saved in my phone that I know Iโll never delete, even though I know it will never ring again.
Isnโt it crazy how someone can be gone, yet their name remains right there in your contacts, as if nothing ever changed?
You know youโll never receive another call from them.
You know that number will probably never light up your screen again. Yet, somehow, deleting it feels like losing another piece of them.

By the close of last year, my palate wearied of fried turkey, following an exhaustive season dominated by fried chicken. Although acquaintances strongly recommended goat meat as an alternative, I have unfortunately lost my appetite for that as well.
