Nice write up on Kenyon Portee Jr by respected recruiting analyst Tom Keller. The 6’4 combo guard was HM All MHC playing up a year. Can play on or off ball, athletic, strong, 3 level offensive game, superb defender, great student. D1 schools have taken notice.

Your 12-year-old doesn’t need a $2000 recruiting service.
He needs to learn how to use deodorant.
Good morning.

Many thanks to New Haven men’s basketball for hosting our crew on a recent visit. Head Coach Ted Hotaling, Coach Schiefen, and Coach Jenney set up a great day. Looking forward to going back for a game soon.

Why tf are AAU teams having tournaments for high school kids in the fall??? We have a lot of idiots in basketball. Parents, stay away from foolishness. It’s high school time.

In my opinion, High School Basketball rules need to change if you want to see more kids stay home and not go prep.
1) The best players need more gym access with unlimited contact days.
2) The rule where HS Coaches can’t coach their players in AAU needs to be abolished.

Had tremendous Prep coach who’s been very successful in the landscape say it best.
If you are a high school prospect that isn’t a 4-5 star most of you need someone or a team pushing for you.
Many D1 programs don’t even have a freshmen on the roster.

The two parts of success are preparation and opportunity. Quan’s dedication and work ethic are second to none, and MADE Hoops has provided such an incredible platform for student-athletes to be seen and recruited.

@madehoops Thank you for giving me and other student-athletes an incredible platform for college exposure. @madehoopsmhc is 100% the top independent circuit in the country. So many college coaches, so much opportunity! 💯 🙏🏾

Good get for Rider in Niquan Lee Jr. The powerful lead guard consistently gets downhill, creates paint touches, and is an underrated playmaker. Finishes through contact, makes the right reads, and should be able to contribute early in the MAAC. @madehoops

Congratulations to 6’4 combo guard Kenyon Portee Jr. ‘28 for earning Made Hoops All-Circuit 17u Honorable Mention while playing up. Tough downhill attacker and three level scorer w/ ability to play on or off the ball and defend 1 thru 4. Great student also. Legit D1 prospect.

Congratulations to 6’8 combo forward Kanye Perkins for earning Made Hoops All-Circuit 17u 3rd team. With superb athleticism and a strong skill set that includes a terrific 3 point stroke, Kanye is the type of inside-outside threat that D1 schools covet. Great student as well.
