In Covid-19 times, it's important to not forget about other infectious diseases. The World Malaria day was certainly a good occasion to re-focus. Hope you all took the chance.
@snf_ch @HeusslerLab

Here we show an alternative way how Plasmodium sporozoites can be eliminated by host cells. Great work of Annina, Rahel and Jessica! Plasmodium berghei sporozoites in nonreplicative vacuoles are eliminated by a PI3P‐mediated autophagy‐independent pathway onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

Fascinating work of Julien Limenitakis and co-workers from Bern, Switzerland!! Mucosal or systemic microbiota exposures shape the B cell repertoire disq.us/t/3quujlj
Are you interested in parasites, physiology and evolutionary ecology? I have up to three years of funding for a postdoc to work on the resource-ecology of parasite-host interactions.
🤣😆and what are then their night activities...? 👍😂
