Nvidia is projecting about $700 billion dollars worth of revenue next year. $SPCX just secured $40 billion in debt for the purchasing of GPUs making up about ~6% of $NVDA’s full revenue guidance for next year. Which neoclouds have the financing arm to compete with the deep wallets of hyperscalers in completing buildout faster? $CRWV $IREN $NBIS $WULF
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much. As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

I wouldn’t be surprised if big guys is trying to fud them since a couple of these neoclouds have horrific balance sheets, what they do have is compute and electricity from Bitcoin/Ethereum mining days. Buy their assets for pennies on the dollar with shares if they fall. just my two cents. I do think some of them are a deal at this current price for a gamble

Abilene is a useful example of why a data center financing cannot be understood by putting several company logos around one building. Crusoe, Blue Owl $OWL and Primary Digital Infrastructure announced the second phase of a $15 billion joint venture in May 2025. The announced campus plan covered eight buildings and 1.2 GW. Crusoe subsequently said the first two buildings were energized and running workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in its September 2025 operating update. On Oracle’s $ORCL September 10, 2026 earnings call, management reported that six of eight buildings had been delivered, representing 618 MW and what it described as 75% of total capacity. The earlier 1.2 GW plan and the later 618 MW delivery disclosure should not be forced into one completion calculation without reconciling their definitions. Building count, facility electrical capacity and power available to computing equipment are different measures. The engineering work also extends beyond energizing the building. Crusoe described direct-to-chip liquid cooling and a shared network fabric. Cooling must remove heat reliably, while the network must keep large groups of processors communicating without excessive waiting. Installed equipment alone does not establish useful computing throughput. The commercial boundaries are equally important. The developer’s obligations, Oracle’s cloud-service commitments and the end customer’s payment obligations are separate agreements. OpenAI’s presence in the commercial network does not, by itself, establish a guarantee to the campus lenders. For investors following Oracle $ORCL, Blue Owl $OWL and equipment suppliers such as Nvidia $NVDA, the useful questions are specific: which legal entity owes rent, what constitutes acceptance, when do payments begin, and what remedies exist if delivery slips? Six delivered buildings are meaningful progress. They are not proof that the whole campus is finished, every customer obligation has been satisfied, or every lender has recourse to every company in the diagram.

the best way to monetize stranded compute is through futures contracts. a buyer can pool multiple of these stranded compute resources together and data centers can get a guarantee for payment to finish. all of this can be fully liquid. hedge your assets and costs, more necessary than ever before. $NVDA $AMD

I think we’re going to see a lot of stranded compute in partially complete data centers

Charmath sure knows a lot about going to zero. 4/5 of the garbage he’s taken public for exit liquidity has practically all gone to shit. the only positive one being $SOFI which has dramatically underperformed $QQQ since going public. $BTC $SPCE $CLOV $PROK
🚨Chamath Palihapitiya believes Bitcoin will get hacked and go to ZERO. Chamath says if AI is aimed at crypto, the obvious target would be "Satoshi's wallet," to "drain the wallet and then go short." What's your take?

Between data center committed capacity and capacity that can actually earn money, does each project has enough funded liquidity to reach its next revenue producing milestone, and who pays if that milestone moves? Oracle $ORCL disclosed $288 billion of additional lease commitments as of August 31, 2026, substantially all related to data centers. These arrangements were generally expected to commence between fiscal Q2 2027 and fiscal 2029, with terms of 15–19 years. That is a long contractual payment schedule, not $288 billion of borrowed principal coming due tomorrow. But being outside the reported lease-liability balance at that date does not make the commitments economically irrelevant. Oracle also reported $664 billion of remaining performance obligations: contracted revenue not yet recognized. It expected to recognize approximately $138 billion by simple multiplication. That $86 billion is expected revenue recognition, not a forecast of cash collections or profit. Customer prepayments, extended payment terms, operating expenses and capital spending all affect the cash available to meet obligations. Subtracting lease commitments from backlog would therefore produce a number with little analytical meaning. Applied Digital $APLD illustrates the other side of the dashboard. It reported 250 MW of operational critical IT capacity at Polaris Forge 1 on October 1. That is a physical delivery milestone, not a financing commitment or a measurement of how heavily the tenant uses its chips. These distinctions matter because infrastructure has several separate schedules: construction spending, power availability, customer acceptance, rent commencement and debt repayment. A project can have strong customer demand and still need additional liquidity if those schedules drift apart. Conversely, a large commitment can be manageable when customer cash arrives early and delivery remains on track.

The same spending cycle produces very different economics. $NVDA reported $89.0B of Data Center revenue, up 117% year over year. $PLTR reported $93M of government revenue, and $APX.AX grew H1 revenue about 17%, but underlying EBITDA before foreign exchange was only 4.4% of revenue. Variation is structural: chip scarcity, governed cloud consumption and workflow ownership retain more value than labor-heavy data production. Investors need to identify the layer, capital intensity and variable labor burden.
