i launched @animosapp on X back in june, so i assumed that's where most of my users came from. i only found out i was wrong after adding one simple question to signup this month: "where did you hear about Animos?" instagram came out on top, mostly from design creators who shared it on their own without me paying them anything. that one question changed where i spend my time. instead of guessing, i started building UGC accounts and making content for instagram, the place people were already finding me. if you're building something and don't know where your users come from, just ask them. it's one field on your signup form.

i'm building @animosapp so people can make motion without learning After Effects, and the funny part is i still need After Effects to make the templates lol. this one is a new multi-scene template, and the hardest part wasn't animating each scene but making the transitions seamless. a single scene is easy, you animate it and you're done. but once you chain scenes together, every handoff has to feel like one continuous move, otherwise it just looks like a few separate clips glued together. here's where it's at right now 👇

my UGC account for @animosapp just hit 85K views after only 7 posts 🔥 I didn't nail it on the first try. I tested a few formats, some got ignored, some got ignored even harder lol 😭 then one finally clicked and the views started moving. turns out UGC isn't about making one perfect video. it's about testing until the algorithm says okay, this one 🫡
