We went from a small agency with only 4 staff... ...to building a Berkshire Hathaway style holding company, managing dozens of businesses, serving select HNWI clients, with 29 staff - and growing fast. How we restructured a company for scale and profit. [THREAD] 🧵👇

We're raising a $2.5M fund to acquire profitable B2B marketing agencies. The opportunity: There are hundreds of these agencies for sale, often at attractive valuations. We've identified several targets that can generate 20-30% returns. How it works: ✅ Minimum investment is $5K ✅ You'll get quarterly dividends ✅ Option to cash out annually ✅ We're building a diversified portfolio Agencies are capital-light, high-margin businesses that can adapt quickly. An ideal investment. Interested? Reply or DM me for details.

Anyone else notice there are so many good hires out there right now? Just placed a couple of subsidiary CEOs that we're stoked with - the hardest part was deciding who to go with from our top 2-3 candidates... all the finalists would've been excellent choices. 🚀

Let's talk about running a portfolio of businesses. It's a hot topic and there are a lot of theories out there, but the truth is, until you actually start running one, you won't know what your specific challenges will be or what practices will work best for you. 👇🧵

I've seen inside this thing and it's gold if you're looking to build a PHC and want to skim off years of trial & error. It's clear @girdley has put a lotta love and experience into this, would recommend.

✨Read if your profit margins are 20% or less✨ - Decreasing expenses by just 10% gives you a profit margin increase of 40%+... Maths is wild. Rev: $30k Expenses: $24k PM: 20% Rev: $30k Expenses: $21.6k PM: 28% PM increased 40% from 20% to 28%

You could add 10% to the top line, sure. Would increase PM by 36%, still v good. But adding 10% to rev w/o an increase in expenses at all, is probably more difficult than cutting a few expenses. 🤔 Maybe not a long-term solution but a great first step!

✨Get a critical 2-week head start ✨ Belated hot tip but do your new year planning in the 2nd week of December. That way you can spend the last couple of weeks of the year getting everything (read: yourself!) ready and prepped so that Jan 1 you can hit the ground running. 💪

Most of our internal meetings at Onfolio "cost" on average ~$200/hr in team wages. Myself, CEO & COO do ~26 hours of meetings per week (some together, some w/ others). That's $5k+/week in meetings between just 3 of us. Here's 2 simple ways we make the most of each meeting 👇

2) Have an agenda. Ideally, an agenda for each meeting should be created 48 hours ahead (altho I admit this can be difficult). This gives enough time for everyone to see the agenda items and prepare so that once you're on the call, you already have everything you need.

Having an agenda and allowing everyone time to prep not only makes each meeting more efficient, but I also guarantee it will cut down on the number of follow-up meetings. We use @fellowapp which automatically adds agendas to each calendar event - and it has been a game-changer!
