This is Liberty, Hokies wife. It has been a long time, and I know Hokie misses you all more than words can say. He is continuing his fight, though it is a long-term battle he will have to carry with him moving forward. Along with his ongoing chemotherapy, he has recently needed regular blood transfusions to help keep his strength up. He has lost a significant amount of weight and is really struggling to maintain an appetite right now (I, on the other hand, seem to be eating enough for both of us to make up for it!).
If you haven’t seen him around in the streams or chats lately, please know it isn't because he doesn't want to see or support you. It has just been incredibly painful for him to log on and feel the weight of how much has been abruptly taken from him.
As you can imagine, this ongoing battle has also brought an immense emotional and financial strain. If you are in a position to help ease the burden on our family during this time, we have set up a GoFundMe here: gofund.me/3f29ba735
Life can be completely baffling, and seeing someone as wonderful as Hokie go through this feels like a heavy blow. Still, we are holding onto our faith and trusting in God's plan. I’ve kept it pretty quiet but on Thursday I received a work call while streaming. 50+ employees out of the office I work from have been let go. Unfortunately I was one of them and it seems they’re shutting down the office after the projects are wrapped up. Not sure where or what my path is but I know I can take my skills to push forward!
I’ve been up beat about it since the call but today, I broke down. I’ve given so much to this company, sacrificing my home life during the summer and driving 2+ hours one way to job sites. This is the company I wholeheartedly expected to retire from.
New paths may be carved and constructed. I have a lot of options and a self created path in the works! Thank you to the OG’s and everyone who has ALWAYS been there through thick and thin (especially my wife). We will prevail, we will stand strong, and we will stay true!

KICK Talk 111 is the best one so far. No @Svntvmvriv @KICKEthan . @StakeEddie was awesome. He was more real and not verbally abusive to chat.However the KPP poll at the end @StakeEddie was a little skewed. Some of us couldn’t vote on it. Can we have it somewhere and let the whole community vote on it?
Are the new generation’s so naive to think that corporation CEO’s and Management don’t lie to you and don’t show favoritism even for bad behavior? Why are we surprised when a streaming platform does the same thing. Is it not a corporation? If you don’t like the temp of the pool do you piss in it? Stop the pissing and leave the pool.
