Y'all, this one's been a long time coming.
I've been building toward offering real FREE classes on our regenerative farm here in the White Mountains hands on, on the land, not theory. That's the whole model. This September is the first real preview of what that looks like, and I'm starting with the resource everybody in Arizona gets wrong: water.
Arizona doesn't have a water shortage. It has a holding shortage.
Twenty topics, one idea at a time. No lectures, no doom, no "just conserve more" guilt trip. Just the actual mechanics: how to catch it, store it, and put it back to work in a state that gets plenty of rain and throws almost all of it away. This is the same material that'll shape the classes we run on site. So if you've ever wondered what we're building out here and why, this is your way in.
Bookmark this post. It's the map for everything coming in September.
Somewhere right now, a 25 year old with a full time job can’t afford a starter home.
Not because he’s lazy, and not mainly because of Wall Street. Decades of zoning and land use rules blocked new homes from being built. That shortage drives prices up, and investors, mostly small landlords, rent out the homes that already exist.
So is that a free market? Or one bent by local rules that benefit people who already own?
Could the pyramids get built today?
I’m guessing the permit alone would take longer than the original construction.
When did you start caring about politics? For me it was the day I started building something.
When I was just working a job, red tape was background noise. Now that I’m trying to build on land and start businesses, I feel every permit and every delay is designed to wear you down until you quit or hire someone to get through it.
Some rules make sense. A lot of them feel outdated, and some seem to exist mostly to keep certain jobs necessary.

You don’t need acreage, equipment, or a degree to start fixing your soil.
Stop tilling. Add wood chip mulch anywhere soil is exposed. Start a compost pile. Plant one native perennial.
That’s it. Biology does the rest. Your lawn is either a carbon sink or a carbon source four changes decides which one.
The standard American lawn routine is almost perfectly designed to prevent carbon sequestration.
Tilling, synthetic fertilizers, bare soil, monoculture grass. None of it is a conspiracy it’s just what happens when you optimize a lawn for appearance instead of biology.
Your yard could be working for you. Right now it’s working against you.
Apache + Spanish + French Canadian mudblood special.
Raised on whatever my grandparents argued about at Thanksgiving.
Wasting energy competing with someone who isn’t even in the race. Best thing you can do is keep building and let them watch.
Telling someone they’re overreacting almost never calms them down.
If you keep trying to help and people keep snapping at you, take an honest look at how you’re saying it. One person getting defensive might be about them. When it happens with several people, you’re the common thread.
I’ve been on both sides of this. The times I actually felt helped, the person asked what was going on before telling me how I should feel about it.
Most people can take correction just fine once they feel heard first.
The gap between ‘I wonder’ and ‘I know’ used to be a library trip. Now it’s 4 seconds and step by step instructions 🤣
Soil holds three times more carbon than all the world’s vegetation combined.
Your lawn is either pulling carbon out of the atmosphere or putting it back in. The difference isn’t geography. It’s how you manage it.
Most people are doing it wrong without knowing it.
Your phone used to be for people you wanted to hear from. Now it's just everyone's fastest way to put something on your plate. Anyone else just leaving them on read at this point?
Because we filtered out the ones who don’t.
The algorithm rewards what you feed it, keep making it better🫶
Hurt people hurt people but at some point that stops being an explanation and starts being an excuse.
Healing is hard. It’s also yours to do. The people around you didn’t break you and they shouldn’t have to pay for it.
Didn’t really work out for California and that project has been bleeding money for 20 years.
Would love to be wrong but “250 mph bullet train” and “no construction date announced” in the same sentence isn’t exactly inspiring confidence.
Seattle Could Get a 250 MPH Bullet Train Connecting the City to Portland and Vancouver in Just One Hour!
Washington could be getting a major transportation upgrade! WSDOT is studying a proposed high-speed rail system connecting Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver, B.C., with trains potentially reaching speeds of 250 MPH and cutting travel times from over three hours to around one hour each way from Seattle. The project has received nearly $50 million in federal planning funding, with studies continuing through 2028. No construction date has been announced.
Would you take a bullet train from Seattle to Portland or Vancouver?
Soulja Boy said first rapper with a toy and forgot Vanilla Ice had a doll in 1991.
@vanillaice, let that sink in.
