But lately i feel like being called a trader irl isn’t something i’m proud of.
Not because of the craft itself
But because it’s now over saturated by people who don’t know the first thing about trading
Someone with an IQ of 60 can download tradingview today, and call theirself a trader
Even someone with a gambling addiction can install mt5, fund their account and start pressing buttons in the hopes of making a profit
And when they eventually fail, which they all do, they come online, and blame the craft
“forex is just sporty with a suit on”
And this couldn’t be any further from the truth
Then they make it seem as though their failure mirrors exactly what everyone else goes through
This downplays the constant effort and refinement that those of us who truly understand this craft have put in over the years.
And when you tell people you trade for a living, they look at you like a degenerate with no real future 💔
Honestly, i’d rather generate capital through trading, and use it to fund another skill or business that i can comfortably tell others that i do
Tell me, if someone asks what you do for a living, fo you tell them that you trade?

Being a “day trader” doesn’t mean i have to trade everyday. And i won’t take a random trade just because I’ve been watching the charts all week
My execution flowchart is pretty specific, and until everything lines up, I have no business being on MT5
There are specific conditions that must be met
So i’m not executing randomly just because I’m bored. I’m waiting in full confidence for the right conditions to be met before i click a button
