The big island of Hawaii was devastated by Hurricane Lala and now they're finding themselves in the crosshairs of another. While #Moke will pass further South than #Lala this island could see another 15 inches of rainfall as it passes by. Below is a documentary of the situation that continues to unfold in Hawaii as power crews work to restore power before these efforts are hampered by more rain.

Even though I didnāt make it, this documentary by one of my best friends Max is incredible of his, Michael, and Connorās experience. Highly recommend a watch.
Hurricane Melissa was the most humbling storm I've ever chased, the raw power and intensity shook me to my core. I was equally humbled by the incredible resilience and hospitality of the Jamaicans we met before and after the storm.
I've put together this short documentary of our experience during the storm to show what it was like from our perspective. Truly a storm I'll never forget.

Thatās a wrap with the boys. Aurora, hot tub, natural hot spring, fresh snow, amazing food, moose and much more. 32 years old and forever grateful to not only get to experience trips like this, but to have friends to share them with along the way. Heading back to Colorado and then Ohio for the holidays. Very much looking forward to family time. W/@MesoMax919 @Hoines_

Yet another stunning Aurora display on our Alaska Trip.
Last night we drove 2 hours north of our cabin near Fairbanks to find a clear view, only to get socked in by clouds. We returned back to our cabin in defeat and got in the hot tub, but eventually noticed the clouds starting to clear and a green glow off to the north.
For the next hour or so, we were treated to this incredible display that went overhead at times and had rapid naked eye movement/pulsation. Right as it started to calm down, the clouds filled back in and our view was gone. Just incredible luck.
Hereās a super quick timelapse I put together from a couple of my favorite moments.

An absolutely surreal experience last night. The forecast last night was originally supposed to be cloudy all night and didn't think much of the night sky. But, when we got home from dinner we noticed the skies couldn't be anymore clear if they tried and as we got ready to enjoy the evening in the hot tub the aurora bursts to life and got to watch them dance overhead with two of my best friends in freaking Alaska. A truly surreal experience. What a trip its been so far. w/ @MesoMax919 @Hoines_

Hereās a few quick clips of what it was like inside the eyewall of #Melissa where we were at. Only have limited battery and cell service so this will be all I can share for now.

Itās pretty unfortunate to see the negative light being cast on Jamaica from some others on the platform, all from people who arenāt even here, so I wanted to share some of the positive things weāve already seen.
-Weāve met some incredibly kind and helpful people. The family ran condos weāve been staying at have helped us find the best food still open in the area, shared their stories with us and made us laugh.
-Every gas station and store weāve gone into have been stocked with food and water, weāve yet to see one completely empty shelf, even a day before landfall. Thereās also been no shortage of gasoline yet like youād usually see leading up to a storm.
-Many places are boarded up and the streets in many communities were significantly less busy than when we arrived, many people are taking this seriously. I think those who may have doubted the storm at first have changed their tune.
Thereās no denying this is going to be a generational storm for the area and there are going to be tragic scenes after itās gone, but the Jamaican people are strong and resilient. My thoughts are with you all and I hope everyone stays safe. We will continue to try and provide coverage in the most professional way possible. #Melissa

The morning before landfall, last minute preparations are underway as Category 5 Melissa approaches. All of the kind people weāve met here seem to be taking this one seriously, hoping this thing weakens some on the final approach. #Melissa
