🇺🇸 On a freezing morning in January 1988, librarian Vicki Myron discovered a tiny, nearly frozen kitten inside the book return box of the Spencer Public Library in Iowa. The eight-week-old orange kitten had been left among the returned books. His paws were freezing cold, and he was barely surviving. Library staff warmed him, fed him, and gave him a home. They named him Dewey Readmore Books. Over the next 18 years, Dewey became much more than a library cat. He greeted visitors, curled up in their laps, slept among the books, and brought smiles to children, elderly residents, and people struggling through difficult times. During a period of economic hardship in the farming community, Dewey became a symbol of comfort and hope. His fame spread far beyond Iowa. People traveled from across America and even overseas to meet the friendly orange cat. When Dewey passed away on November 29, 2006, at the age of 19, his death was reportedly covered by more than 270 newspapers around the world. His extraordinary life later inspired the bestselling book Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World. A kitten once left in a freezing book return box had grown into a cat who touched hearts around the world. Today, his statue still watches over the library.📚🧡

October is almost over… we’re firmly in fall but not yet into winter. Is there anything you missed out on this past summer season/better constant weather?

The point here is not the promo. It's more about listening to how he talks about the title. Since he lost it, his business partners are breathing down his neck because there's no market for ex-champions. He's built a lifestyle that requires the title to sustain.

You don’t find it weird that not a single billionaire wants to end world poverty? Doesn’t it strike you as bizarre that no one with that kind of wealth wants to be the hero who actually solves the world’s biggest problems when they literally could? Isn’t that suspicious?
