The CEC shouldn’t exist to uphold a leader. It’s here to put power where it belongs: with members. We’re long overdue a party built around working people, not billionaires, landlords or corrupt elites. Everything must come back to making working people’s lives actually better.

“The question being put to the members is really this: do they want the member-led, democratically run mass socialist party put forward by the Grassroots Left, or do they want a top-down Labour 2.0 lacking any campaigning vision?” — by @Grassroots_Left: morningstaronline.co.uk/arti…

Anahita would be a blessing to the CEC. She's shown she can build vibrant organisations out of nothing, that are actively campaigning & connected to global issues of imperialism & international solidarity Vote Anahita & Mel for London and the rest of @Grassroots_Left elsewhere

My first ever Hustings. 📹 What a pleasure to be in the company of so many great people building from the bottom up. Sorry (not sorry) to anyone who caught my second one directly after and had to experience my “CANDIdate” joke. Three down in three days. 😅@Grassroots_Left

3 people I know, expelled from Your Party yesterday, have no relationship with the SWP. They are all people I campaigned alongside. 2 are trying to reverse it without going public. 1 who @guardian names is James Giles. James helped with demographic data for my Blackburn campaign. It remains totally obscure who is making these decisions.

@JohnWRees @STWuk

I was deeply fascinated by the events of the First World War for such a long time and the significant loss of life experienced by all parties involved. The First World War planted the seeds for future wars. norbertlawrie.blogspot.com/2…

My favourite Tony Benn story, delivered on the occasion of Thatcher’s resignation: “There is good and bad in everybody, and for 10 years the bad has been stimulated and the good denounced as lunatic, out of touch, cloud-cuckoo-land, extremist and militant"
