I really don’t understand what we are doing as Jubilee in this whole Azimio/Ukombozi arrangement. At this point, I believe we should be thinking beyond the old formations and working towards a new, genuinely inclusive coalition that brings everyone on board and gives every voice a place at the table.

My heart breaks following the tragic accident along the Nairobi–Mombasa Highway that claimed the lives of 17 pilgrims from St Matthias Mulumba Catholic Parish, Mikindani, Mombasa. On behalf of my family, I extend my deepest condolences to the families, relatives, friends and the entire Catholic community of Mikindani. They set out on a journey of faith, travelling to Subukia Shrine to pray for our nation. They left their homes with faith in their hearts and hope for everyone, never knowing that they would not make the journey back to the people they loved. There is a deep sadness in knowing that a journey undertaken in prayer and devotion has ended in such unimaginable grief. Seventeen lives have been lost, and behind every life is a family, a home, memories and people who will now have to face an emptiness that words cannot fill. To every family mourning tonight, may God hold you close, give you strength and grant you comfort through this painful season. We also pray for those who survived the accident and are receiving treatment, asking God to grant them healing and renewed strength. May the souls of the 17 pilgrims rest in eternal peace. And may God grant their families the grace to endure this profound loss.

This evening, I visited my sister, @MarthaKarua , at her home in Nairobi to convey my heartfelt condolences following the passing of her beloved father, Mwalimu Jackson Karua. I stood with the family in this difficult moment and shared in their grief as they mourn a father, a teacher, and a man whose life touched many. May God grant the family strength, comfort and peace during this difficult time, and may Mwalimu Jackson Karua’s soul rest in eternal peace.

My dear sister @MarthaKarua I am deeply saddened by the passing of your beloved father, Mwalimu Jackson Karua. There are moments when words simply fall short. Losing a parent is to lose a part of the place from which we came, the voice that guided us, the presence that reassured us, and the person whose belief in us often came long before the world knew our name. Mzee was more than a father. He was a teacher, a man of principle, a believer in education, character and doing what is right. But perhaps his greatest classroom was his own home, where he planted values that would go on to shape the lives of his children and grandchildren. Martha, may God hold you, your mother, your siblings, children, grandchildren and the entire Karua family close during this difficult season. May He give you the strength to mourn, the grace to heal and the comfort that comes from knowing that you were deeply loved by your father. And may the soul of Mzee rest in eternal peace.

I welcome the landmark ruling by the High Court declaring unconstitutional the provisions of the law that sought to bar retired Presidents, more so our party leader H.E Uhuru Kenyatta from engaging in politics. This is a significant victory for democracy, constitutionalism and the Bill of Rights. The Constitution does not retire a citizen from exercising their fundamental political rights simply because they once held the highest office in the land. The Court has affirmed that upon leaving office, a former President becomes a private citizen and retains the rights and freedoms guaranteed to every Kenyan. The ruling is therefore not just about one individual. It is about the principle that political participation is a constitutional right and cannot be taken away through legislation that unjustifiably discriminates against a particular category of citizens. We must also condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the conduct of individuals who have spent the last few days maligning others, manufacturing divisions, spreading defamatory claims and creating unnecessary political confusion in the name of party succession and transition. Those who chose to weaponise the law, succession and transition debates to attack the character of fellow Jubilee members must now be reminded that political disagreements should never be an excuse for defamation, intimidation or the deliberate creation of false narratives. The High Court has provided important constitutional clarity. It is time to put aside the politics of malice, misinformation and manufactured divisions and return our focus to the democratic principles upon which political parties are founded. Let there be no ambiguity: H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta remains firmly in charge of the Jubilee Party. His leadership, influence and political participation cannot be wished away through social media campaigns, propaganda or attempts to manufacture a succession crisis. Jubilee is a constitutional political party, and its affairs are governed by its Constitution, the Constitution of Kenya and the law, not by individuals seeking to advance personal ambitions through division and character assassination. Today is a reminder that no political convenience can be placed above the Constitution. We welcome this ruling as a victory for democracy, the Bill of Rights and the right of every Kenyan, including retired Presidents to participate freely in the political life of our country. #MbelePamoja

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity. Psalm 133:1 Today, I had the privilege of worshipping and fellowshipping with the faithfuls of ACK Canary in Ndaragwa. This was part of my continued engagement with the people of Ndaragwa, creating space for honest conversations on leadership, community development and the future of our community. Our communities are built not only through big decisions, but through shared purpose, unity and working together on the issues that affect our people every day. I am grateful for the warm welcome, fellowship and opportunity to share in worship with the ACK Canary family. May God continue to bless the church and the people of Ndaragwa. #ngaimbere #MbelePamoja

NDARAGWA HAS SPOKEN: DR. FRED MATIANG’I MUST BE ON THE BALLOT Today in Ndaragwa Constituency, Nyandarua County, I had the opportunity to engage our Jubilee Party aspirants in a candid and spirited conversation about the road ahead. One message came through loud and clear: the people in this forum have declared their unwavering and total support for @RealMatiangi all the way to the ballot. Their position is clear, come rain or sunshine, Dr. Matiang’i must be on the ballot if we are to have a real opportunity to change the direction of our country. I also spoke candidly about the growing attempts to destabilise the opposition by creating suspicion and labelling fellow leaders as “moles.” We must stop demonising everyone simply because they hold a different view or come from a different political formation. Stop demonising everyone in the name of “moles.” Those who genuinely want change must not allow themselves to be divided by political propaganda and manufactured suspicion. Our task is bigger than personalities. We must build a united opposition anchored on issues, ideas and solutions, an alternative that speaks directly to the struggles of ordinary Kenyans. The next election must be a contest about the economy, jobs, education, healthcare, the cost of living, agriculture and the dignity of every Kenyan family. And on the question of Dr. Fred Matiang’i, the message from this forum could not have been clearer: COME RAIN OR SUNSHINE, MATIANG’I MUST BE ON THE BALLOT! #MbelePamoja

The next big national conversation must be EDUCATION. We need an honest and uncomfortable assessment of our education system: what is working, what is not working, what we should strengthen, and what we must have the courage to change or do away with altogether. Our education system is in the pits, and pretending otherwise will only deepen the problem. But as we interrogate the system, we must also confront how we have treated the people at its centre. If there is one group we have failed as a nation, it is our teachers. We have taken their voices, struggles and concerns for granted, yet we expect them to shape the minds and future of an entire generation. You cannot neglect the people entrusted with educating a nation and expect there to be no consequences.

Our country is at a defining moment. Across the country, our people are demanding accountability, dignity, opportunity and leadership that puts the people first. This is not the time for politics of division, intimidation or empty rhetoric, it is the time to restore public trust and put Kenya back on the path of responsible leadership and inclusive development. @JubileePartyK stands firmly on the side of the people. We remain champions of people centered politics, defenders of democracy and the Constitution, and a political home for every Kenyan, especially the voiceless and those who feel excluded from the political process. To the people of Kipipiri Constituency, Nyandarua County, thank you for your warm welcome. #MbelePamoja #NgaiMbere

Today in Nyeri County, alongside my brother @ngunjiriwambugu and other aspirants, we took the Jubilee gospel directly to the people through our Meet the People tour, united under one clear message, the time for change is here, and the time for unity of purpose is now. We engaged the people openly, listening to their aspirations while making the case for why the candidacy of our Presidential Candidate, @RealMatiangi , is timely for the 2027 General Elections. Kenya needs leadership that can rise above ethnic arithmetic, political intimidation and the politics of non-issues, and instead unite the country around ideas, opportunity, dignity and a shared national purpose. The message from Nyeri was clear, we can do politics differently. We can build a country where every community, every region and every Kenyan feels seen, heard and included. To the people of Nyeri, thank you for the warm welcome, the candid conversations and the incredible energy. The journey towards 2027 is about unity of purpose, and @JubileePartyK is ready to walk that journey with every Kenyans. #NgaiMbere #MbelePamoja

Political intimidation, political bullying and the politics of non-issues have no place in the politics of the Mt Kenya region or in the Kenya we seek to build. Today, I joined our Presidential Candidate, Hon. Fred Matiang’i, in Limuru, Kiambu County, for a candid conversation with aspirants from across the Mt Kenya region on the future of our country and the direction of our politics. I am particularly glad that Jubilee Party has taken a clear and progressive position: there will be no zoning in the 2027 General Elections. Every jubilee party member who meets the requirements and earns the confidence of the people deserves an opportunity to compete. As a party, we will field candidates for every elective position across the country. We must replace intimidation with ideas, bullying with dialogue, and politics of division with a politics of opportunity, dignity and national unity. #NgaiMbere #MbelePamoja

“The true measure of a man is NOT where he stands in moments of convenience and comfort; but where he stands in times of challenge and difficulties.” Today, we felt that spirit in Narok County. Thank you to the people of Narok for the warm welcome, the energy and the honest conversations. In moments that test our resolve, we stand together, listen to one another and keep moving forward. Asanteni sana Narok. #MbelePamoja
