Best wishes to Kingston Flemings (@K1ngFlemings) in tonight’s NBA Draft!
Flemings immediately impressed as a freshman for the SA Brennan Bears & became one of my fav players to broadcast with his playmaking and competitiveness.
Here’s some highlights as seen on @Texan_Live

Awesome.
My early years of broadcasting in Austin with Drip Baseball one of best athletes I ever saw play was David Hamilton with San Marcos.
Fastest down to 1st i think I’ve ever seen.
Just hit one out the park and Brewers can sweep Dodgers to goto the World Series
Busy day!

Really well written article by @Carter_Yates16 about the tragic passing of Odin Hensley.
It’s been touching to see the support and tributes by opposing teams. Tough to imagine what this season has been like for those in the LT program, but this article gives an accurate insight
On Friday night, Lake Travis has their first home game at a renovated stadium. As always, football will bring the entire community together for it. But they’ll all be thinking about Odin Hensley, the friend, teammate, and son who isn’t there. These Cavaliers play for him.
“It will never be the same.”

Bummer it didn’t work out for McCarthy in Minnesota.
The flipside of betting on youth when drafting at QB is “upside” accompanies immaturity. Whereas now at QB unless the guy is generational talent, taking an older college QB is going to be far less frowned on.

Without any college offers, reality engulfed Tony Diaz on his 17th birthday.
“That s— hit me,” Diaz said. “I went outside. I started breaking down... I felt like I was done with football.”
The story of Diaz's unlikely path to rising star at Iowa: hawkcentral.com/story/sports…
My GF is a Texas State grad and before she moved with me in Austin she lived for a long time in San Marcos.
We had our first date after an LT FB game at SM last yr. Not sure I would have met her if not for that. Love that Iowa’s best WR is a Rattler from San Marcos Tony Diaz
I was a teenager when Kirk Ferentz was hired at Iowa, and while the image of Iowa football has never been the most exciting brand; it has always been consistent in teams that play their tails off and win unconventionally.
Iowa has been so lucky to have him.
How about those Iowa Hawkeyes!?!
I was working at The Lodge during 2nd half, and since college football jersey’s are allowed to be worn on Saturday’s I had my Chuck Long jersey on for good luck!
Chuck Long famously was Quarterback in 1985 for Iowa; on October 19th, 1985 Long lead #2 Iowa to a win over #1 Michigan 12-10. While that game was happening, I was 3 months old and having heart surgery for patent ductus. It was minor and I had no further complications. Always great to beat Michigan!
Also come on out to The Lodge in Round Rock as we host our World Poker Tour Prime Festival through Oct 12th.
I was doing commentary for this stream and in the moment I chalked it up to being a misunderstanding at the table. Did not expect this clip to get such a response 😂
Abby Merk (@abbypoker_) and Susan's table talk turns an already tense spot awkward.
