Gonzaga University has a long tradition of supporting and celebrating activism on the part of its students, faculty and staff. We will not penalize applicants nor admitted students whose peaceful & lawful activism are the direct cause of disciplinary action by their high school.

We demand new gun legislation AND additional mental health support. #gunreformnow and #mentalhealthreformnow are not mutually exclusive.

Glad that Jordan Hunter is able to stare down Zach Norvell after that block. Smart eye contact. Much better than him looking at the scoreboard.

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” This country’s greatness and true genius lies in its diversity.

BEST STORY OF THE DAY: South Dallas middle school started a “Breakfast with Dads” program but many dads couldn’t make it and several students didn't have father figures. The school posted a Facebook request for 50 volunteer fathers... 600 fathers from all backgrounds showed up... – at Memphis, TN

I'm just a young man
And my story's being told.
You have squandered your resistance,
For a pocket full of mumbles,
Such are promises.
All lies and jest,
Still a Senator hears what she wants to hear
And disregards the rest.
Hmmmm.
But the fighter still remains.
