And finally this evening, our board passed a motion directing staff to extend the timeframe for the Stanley Park temporary bike lane on Park Drive until the Stanley Park Mobility Study is complete and staff report back with long-term recommendations.
ICYMI our Board also approved the replacement of the below-ground Raymur Pump Station with a new above-ground pump station building in Strathcona Park. This will help ensure that Vancouver’s infrastructure is well-managed and resilient while minimizing the risk of sewage spills.

This article points to incentives as the reason why more EVs are sold in BC & Quebec. A more important reason in my opinion is BC & Quebec have laws that require vehicle manufacturers to sell an increasing % of EVs. Ontario could follow suit w/o incentives cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/d…

The #bcpoli govt updated the #CleanBC plan to put them on track to their 2030 targets. I’ve been an advisor to the plan & I think it’s a solid step forward. Some highlights that will lead to more green buildings, electric vehicles, walking/cycling/transit, & renewable energy: 1/

There are also cross-cutting actions: meeting/exceeding the federal carbon price, a 100% clean electricity standard, stronger direction to BC Hydro to support electrification, & a replacement program to help local government climate action with predictable & flexible funding. 8/

In addition to helping move BC closer to its targets, all these actions will help Vancouver get closer to our #ClimateEmergency targets. Following through on implementation and looking for opportunities to go faster will be key, but this is a big milestone for #CleanBC. 9/9

Fitting quote from Jean-Luc Piccard "There is a way out of every box, a solution to every puzzle; it's just a matter of finding it." With #CleanBC Roadmap B.C. now has a plan that meets 2030 target to reduce carbon pollution. pembina.org/media-release/bc…
