The NBA can be so cruel. The Suggs and JDub injuries happened within minutes of each other. Two really good players for two teams who had high hopes looking ahead. Both the player’s and team’s trajectories completely altered. Brutal.

Giannis: *Signs back with Milwaukee after realizing their core is much better suited for his game thanks to the players they acquired (for him)* 😂
Not trying to scare nobody but………………… he’s technically a free agent this summer right?

If I was a Bucks fan that Rollins/Burries/Green/Ware shift in the 2nd quarter would fuel me for weeks 🤣

Obviously it's only been two games (and Paolo's injury won't help analysis/development), but Jalen Suggs is 2nd on Orlando in time of possession and dribbles per touch while being near the bottom in points per touch. Suggs needs to support Paolo/Franz/Bane, not create for them.
The Magic need to draw a hard line at Suggs as a creator and turn him into a wing offensively already. Slightly above average passing isnt enough to make up for genuinely terrible ball handling, no pull-up ability and no foul drawing

Brutal for them, his process was excellent in games 1 and 2 Franz All-Star campaign loading?
Orlando Magic star Paolo Banchero has sustained a low-grade right high ankle sprain, sources tell ESPN. This injury diagnosis typically carries a timetable of 4-to-6 weeks.

Miami took 13 more FGAs than Detroit tonight (all 3s) and 8 more FTs. That means Miami had 47 more potential points than Detroit.... and somehow lost by 17 😐
The Miami Heat have now lost their first 2 games of the season by a combined 42 points Lost by 25 PTS to Minnesota Lost by 17 PTS to Detroit

That was an amazingly high quality game between the Celtics and Knicks. I would love to see someone go through the various strategies and counters because those two teams are so damn good. No business playing that type of quality+intensity basketball in game 2 of the season.

For how much responsibility he carries on both ends Scottie Barnes' motor is absolutely absurd

I find it fascinating that the Cavs are in year FIVE of a roster-build where the optimal rotation (by their own admission!) demands that multiple pairs of their four best players need to be heavily staggered in order to even have a chance of approaching personnel maximization.
Why the Cavs *still* suck.

They have a really talented roster. They’ll win plenty of games. But creating a whole greater than the sum of your parts requires synergy. They found that in 24-25 (largely) because Garland was All-Star level without infringing on Mitchell. Then they traded him for the opposite.

If I was a Cavs fan I would think about the beautiful basketball they played in 2025 and how they punted that for an older, less impactful, worse-fitting player every single day. It would legit haunt me watching them look so different stylistically to optimize Harden.

Quickley so underrated. One of those guys that doesn’t check the right boxes aesthetically for his profile so he’ll forever be misunderstood. He’s the ideal guard archetype for Toronto to pair w/ Scottie Barnes+Kawhi Leonard though. Those three are almost perfectly synergistic.

He’s imperfect obviously. And there will be matchups where IQ’s weaknesses shine through which will force him to shoot well to return necessary impact. But on the whole his spacing+movement+screening+pace+help defense are extremely valuable even when the shots aren’t falling.
