OIL HITS $115. THE WORLD PROTECTS DRIVERS. LABOUR PROTECTS TREASURY REVENUES
As 100 governments around the world cut fuel taxes, subsidise motorists & protect economic growth, Labour continues to rake in £bns from higher pump prices while families and businesses pay the price
The #Budget2026 must be a turning point to show that @andyburnham & @JohnHealey_MP believe the motorist is part of the solution to deliver economic growth, not an ATM

See my comments on Confused dot com's analysis in @DailyExpress's article about more authorities upgrading 20 mph roads to 30mph
Their report tells us Britain's 20mph rollout has become an expensive political virtue-signalling ideology rather than effective transportation policy

Energy Secretary @Miatsf has agreed that the regulator can grant consent for gas to be produced at the licensed Jackdaw field.
Gas from Jackdaw is expected to start reaching British homes and businesses as early as the end of this month.

There are few certainties in life. Death, taxes, and whenever fuel prices rise, the Treasury cashes in.
The latest figures reveal a scandal hiding in plain sight. Since the Iran crisis pushed oil prices up, British drivers have spent almost £10 billion more on road fuel, while the Treasury has quietly pocketed around £1.7 billion in extra VAT receipts.

Let's be honest. Fuel duty and pump prices may not seem as exciting as the political stories dominating the headlines. They don't generate the outrage, tribalism or endless TV debates. But few issues affect your daily life more.
Whatever your politics, whether you drive or not, high fuel costs work their way through the entire economy and hit your lives.
That's why #FairFuelUK has spent years fighting for fairer fuel prices, lower motoring taxes and a transport policy that supports growth, jobs and lower prices for everyone. Joining FairFuelUK is completely FREE.
The larger our supporter base, the harder it is for politicians to ignore the millions of families, workers and businesses who keep Britain moving.
If you believe the cost of living is too high, inflation is too high, and ordinary people are paying too much just to get on with their lives, please join us today.
No subscription. No cost. Just a stronger voice for common sense. Politics divides us. Fair fuel prices benefit us all. Please sign up to support us at:

The rise in inflation to 3.5% exposes the damaging ripple effect of excessive pump prices across the entire economy. Fuel is the essential lifeblood of Britain. When drivers, hauliers, tradespeople and small businesses are hammered at the pumps, the cost of moving goods rises and consumers inevitably pay the price. If ministers genuinely want to bring inflation down, they must start by making mobility more affordable. Cut fuel duty big time and do it now!!! @JohnHealey_MP @andyburnham

The political elite, the MSM, and the justice system work in harmony to control our lives and destroy those like @TRobinsonNewEra who are doing incredible, brave work to try to make our country safer by alerting us all to the injustices that dangerously affect all of us
Tommy speaks of the injustice that is happening within the courts, how the journalists have framed him and created a story line, inciting arrest and investigation and now crown court hearings.
There’s a possible 10 year sentence looming over Tommy.
@TRobinsonNewEra we are behind you. 🙏🏼

For Fucks sake, has anyone at Sky got any decency? The MSM has gone too far with their indoctrinated hatred of decent, honest patriotism. @TRobinsonNewEra has more principles, compassion & bravery in his pinkie than the entire Sky News team has in their supposed journalism. No doubt I will continue to be gaslit

.@UKLabour's favourite think tank, the @resfoundation is calling for #fuelduty to be increased! WTF does this quango cost us, and what have they contributed to improving your daily life?
The Resolution Foundation sees motorists as a revenue stream. We see them as the backbone of the British economy. Taxing drivers more will not solve Britain's problems. It will make them worse
This is exactly the sort of Westminster think-tank analysis that looks neat on paper but bears little resemblance to the real lives of millions of hardworking families, commuters, tradespeople, farmers and small businesses who depend on their vehicles every day
The claim that Fuel Duty freezes are not well targeted ignores the reality that every product on every supermarket shelf is transported by road. Higher fuel taxes do not just hit drivers; they push up the cost of food, deliveries, manufacturing, farming and services across the entire economy
Drivers are already among Britain's most heavily taxed consumers. For years they have been treated as a Treasury cash machine, paying tens of billions in Fuel Duty and VAT while receiving little in return. Suggesting that motorists should now be hit with even higher taxes during an ongoing cost-of-living crisis shows a remarkable disconnect from economic reality
Fuel costs may be below historic peaks, but they remain painfully high for families and businesses struggling with household bills, inflation and rising costs. The question should not be how much more Government can extract from drivers, but how lower fuel costs can help deliver growth, reduce inflation and support the people who keep Britain moving.
As FairFuelUK has repeatedly demonstrated, cutting or freezing Fuel Duty boosts consumer spending, helps businesses grow, supports jobs and generates wider economic activity. Punishing motorists with yet another tax rise would be economically reckless and politically tone-deaf
